Most/Least miles covered in a year
Discussion
Life is there to be lived, cars are there to be driven.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming
'WOW! WHAT A RIDE!'

I reckon Ben's Chimaera will have done a fair few miles in less than a year when he gets to somewhere near Tierra del Fuego at the end of his Pub2Pub challenge.
It's an amazing journey that's for sure.... and he/they get a from me too.Not sure if you've spotted his latest update... https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...
The Pub2Pub Chim has done 16,000 miles since the start of the trip in July, with around another 7,000 still to go across South America - if and when the car ever gets here (we're currently waiting on yet another delay, caused by the shipping company this time, which has meant the car is a week late in being shipped a few hundred miles past the Darien Gap from Panama to Colombia).
So it's looking like it'll be a total of around 23,000 miles in 7 months, though we may now be adding a few more miles after Tierra del Fuego - watch this space!

You must be a World Record holder for miles covered in a TVR in the shortest time span.
Does Dom service your car by any chance or did you have the engine rebuilt by him.
Anyway happy tivvin

Dom @ Power has indeed done a rebuild (and upgraded to a 4.3) and so other bits but my regular guys are at Bespoke in Ware. and with this mileage I mean REGULAR.;)
I think Dom might have pointed to the car when I was there one time Regular,, every 3 weeks by my reckoning
I’m desperately hanging or even clinging on to my dream of driving my Tvr as much and as often as possible under extreme pressure from friends who mean well and even my own sense somedays.
Fly in the face of convention,, or just make my Tvr reliable which isn’t so hard if a little costly and enjoy it as it was meant to be, on the road eating up the miles.
You only live once.
This weather has had me avoiding driving it for the first time in 5 years but snow and now fog.
My days of needless tests of stamina are over.
Are you still climbing?
I worked at the edge of buildings as in a window fixer on office blocks etc for many years so have some idea of the feeling of being on top of the world and looking down on the city, loved it up there I did.
Wouldn’t do it now though as I lost my bottle for it years ago, every day, it’s just too dangerous and the money isn’t in it anymore well I can’t be bothered more like )
But it was my favourite job and miss it so much!
Your an inspiration and I’ll happily carry on Tivvin and racking up the miles

In the '90's I had my Griff 500 services every 6-7 weeks - Got one (Giallo Fly with red and blue leather) to 60,000 miles vefore it was due an MOT!
Now I'm down to about 18,000 got my Sag in '07 with 10,000 miles and it's now on 185,000
Impossible - Speed6 would have required 63 rebuilds to do that mileaage Now I'm down to about 18,000 got my Sag in '07 with 10,000 miles and it's now on 185,000
