Distinct lack of threads on here since the New Year so I'll ask others their opinions of the Car-Cover Stormforce cover. I've searched for threads and there are quite a few but nothing recent.

The RRP varies but is £140 ish at most places. Supplier on ebay had them listed at £110 and I thought hard about it. My car is always slightly damp inside being kept outside although it doesn't pour in.

Anyway, eBay had a one day offer on 28th Dec of 20% off any item before 6pm (max discount £75) so I ordered one. Fitted here:

So total cost was £88. smile I'm hoping it's well spent. Tried several other cheaper covers over the year and they've all been poor at keeping rain out.

Seems to be a good fit and time will tell. Any long term users with adverse opinions out there?

Had mine a year. Was warned about the car getting scratched, and it does. It keeps the worst of the rain out but still gets damp underneath. Its now started to develop holes.

I cleaned the car (on the first dry day for ages a coupe of days ago) and put it on then. It's quite a tight fit which may promote scratches if any grit is in there and is a specific size (CCC257, not made to measure). If it keeps the worst out, that'll do.

Mine did this, I complained and sent them pictures, after a little chat they sent me a new one.
I still couldn't recommend them, got a cheapy from halfords after that and I couldn't see any difference in quality.

I'm no builder, but would it be possible to erect a car port between the wall and fence? Would beat a car cover and enable quicker access

There's a long story about a car port. It would have to be custom made, it not being a standard width. There was one there when I bought the house in 2012 but it was so shoddy, I had it pulled down. Free-standing? Pillars on one side? Guttering? Lots of issues.

I paid a deposit to a builder who never did the job and I'm half way through small claims court to get the money back. That's for another thread.

Guy used to keep his Chimera in a plastic shed..looked like a very cool dog-kennel..just around the corner from me in New Milton. I always used to stop and admire it. Looked fab 👍👍

I had issues with an out door cover. Loads of Micro blisters after the cover failed to keep the Elements out. Probably the best solution would be a Leven Tech Hood cover. The only problem with that is , you still get marks from the cover because it fits over the boot, Easily polished out though.
