I like it, in the flesh it's great
Agreed. The first photos and even videos I saw didn't inspire me. It looked quite average.
Seeing it in the flesh at the NEC though it looked awesome and I want one
Very odd that it looks so much better than any pictures of it.
Cheers ....
Never judge a book by a photograph of its cover
I can't wait to hear how awesome it is on road and track, I think that will be the clincher that will or won't attract new buyers (from other marques).. Plus the build quality when they start rolling out the door, that you would expect if forking out ninety odd K

a bit like a 348 and a 355 Ferrari. Tiny changes hard to put into words, but the difference is night and day.
Same with the Puma and the Racing Puma - subtle widening of arches and it transforms the look.
Same with the original Lotus Evora and the latest 430 thingy.
the fundamentals are there, just the tweaking isn't quite right. I don't think it'll take the aftermarket long to do a bumper and lamp option.

Whilst this is a flawed poll in many ways, half of all respondents NOT liking the front end design is pretty damning. If it were me I’d be wanting to see at least a 70% approval rate out of a distilled TVR fanatic audience to consider it a success.
What I find truly bizarre though is that this design was shown at the private reveal and exactly the same feedback was given at the time. For whatever reasons TVR chose not to act on it and pressed ahead. Now it’s out in the public domain, exactly the same criticism is being leveled at it, but now from a much broader audience. What on earth did they expect???
They *REALLY* need as many people as possible to like the design, irrespective of if they are launch customers.
Hopefully they’ve now got the message sufficiently clearly and will perhaps do something about it?

So 80 poll'd. roughly half don't like it and half do.
ARE YOU LISTENING MR EDGAR !!
Really really really want TVR to be a success this time. Mind you I hated the Sagaris so what do I know.
This is not really a valid poll. ARE YOU LISTENING MR EDGAR !!

How many of those 80 have actually seen the new Griff in the flesh?
I saw it at the Goodwood reveal and also at the NEC, and I think it looks better the more I see it .
It grows on you. Especially as you walk from the front to the 3/4 side view, that cheery mouth appears to morph into a fierce GRRRRR! You cannot see this from the photos.
Also I am wondering how it will look with a front number plate fitted. That will make quite a difference.

I get your point, but I think most people, at least out in the wider community, would not go to see a car in the flesh that was ugly on the initial photos. Really if you have to stick a number plate on it to make it look reasonable you should be voting ugly. How many of those 80 have actually seen the new Griff in the flesh?

I've said before I think the side profile is really nice and the back is distinctive, both plus points.
I remember that when the first pics of the Sagaris came out, the poll results on here were 60/40 - and now everything is being compared to the sheer outrageousness of that car...
I don't think the front end is all that different in style from the Chimaera and Cerbera, two of the most popular TVR models of all time...?

You HAVE to see it “in the flesh” to really understand all the different angles. Trust me it’s impossible otherwise. I've said before I think the side profile is really nice and the back is distinctive, both plus points.
I’m pretty sure there will be a grill (carbon) inserted within the mouth plus a number-plate.
It will then surface on the likes of TG etc and every magazine front~cover.
Go look at all the latest Ferrari’s..pretty much identical apertures.
I’m a deposit holder and a very happy bunny...and looking forward to seeing the new Vantage disappear in my rear view mirror..

Certainly not identical though. It’s just those crucial little differences though with the shape and the grille and the lights that make the Ferraris look great and purposeful this car look a bit awkward and gormless.

Do you really think the Griffith looks the same or as good as that Ferrari?
A more similar angle
As has been previously stated..that fish-eye lens distorts the perimeter of the car..rounding it off at the extreme edges..A more similar angle

Go take a look in the flesh and it is different.
