We are living in extra ordinary times
I think the last few years have been cruel to many business and aspiration.
What is a start up meant to do in such choppy water.
If it was all over Tvr would or should be close to telling us,,,,
Brexit needs to be settled or at least be moving in a direction, any direction would be good,,,
Maybe many things depend on it including investment for Tvr from foreign money,,, ironic if true
why would it be ironic... foreign investment happens all the time, in countries all around the world.. that is nothing to do with being a member(or not) of a political union and proto superstate. I think the last few years have been cruel to many business and aspiration.

Many things might depend on a deal or no deal.
The conditions might or might not be good for investment depending who you are in bed with after Brexit.
Maybe it’s got nothing to do with Tvr ’s present situation but maybe it has!
Who knows
Time will tell.
I’m just hoping Tvr realise saying anything is unwise if they can’t be sure of investment, why else would this be stalling!

Since the final ever TVR rolled off the production line I have owned;
TVR Sagaris
Jaguar XJ
Chevy Camaro 2SS
Range Rover
Jaguar XKR
Jaguar F-Type V8 S
Jaguar F-Type R
Range Rover Velar
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Jaguar F-Pace S
I can't believe that people are waiting for a unicorn when there are so many great cars out there that you can actually buy!
Hi Paul hope you doing ok across the pond.TVR Sagaris

Don’t often come on this forum now but the situation around the new car is compelling.
What struck me with your post were the uncanny similarities with our car ownership since the demise.
Jaguar XJ long wheelbase x2
Range Rover Sport, still got
Jaguar XK and XKR convertible
Jaguar F Type R
Aston Martin V8 Vantage
Aston Martin V12 Vantage
Evoque ( instead of your Velar) but have looked at them.
Jaguar F Pace 1st Edition ( kept one month, hated it )
One big difference, Jeep Wrangler recently bought for trips to Greece.
So fairly similar,
Re new TVR. I was excited until I saw it but looks left me cold and now imho so outdated it would have to be rethought to stand any chance.
A lovely dream, but I for one relish the memories of the two Tuscans I owned, RIP TVR.

All good thanks, hope you and Tony are well.
I still love this photo of our two Tuscan’s in my garden in Yorkshire before our trip to TVR in Blackpool in 2005.
I've tried to follow this thread since its inception but have missed chunks as I'm not on PH much these days.
I have 2 questions....
- What's the general consensus/actual number/best guess on the number of deposits taken for the new car? (Peak)
- And how many do we think are left now?
Makes me genuinely angry that newco seem to be squandering a lot of goodwill towards a brand that I love.

I am not posting re Newco etc just wanted to cheer TVR enthusiasts up with report of a good dyno session on a Vixen S2 yesterday, belonging to a Mr Griffiths, therefore TVR Griffiths?
A very smartly presented car with an almost balls out all steel engine. The cam was a Kent 244, 4-8000 rpm with a maxish bhp suggested 150..
When it came in we did a power run, a rather disappointing 93 at the wheels. Not to panic about engine build, carbs only on about half throttle, not much chance of it being thrashed and trashed in the past then !
After achieving full throttle, altering the over rich fuel foot flat and achieving correct fuel part throttle, a delicate act of idle jet sizes so as not to go too rich again WOT, a little experimenting with timing and we got 125 ish at the wheels giving 147 flywheel the way we work it out. Power from 3500 and an almost acceptable part throttle considering the cam.
A lovely car and crying to be given a run at Donington or some other track.

I remember the Vixens and Tuscans being assembled for customers at Caterham when I was working there around '69/'70.. great memories and happy days!
