Who was the dealer that was selling vehicles on SOR and keeping the money when they went bankrupt and why does the name Richard Smith ring, alarm, bells?
Richard Smith was involved with Oakland TVR and Dulford Automotive/TVR Carparts. It's not the same person. And as far as I know the one I know didn't keep anyone's money.

These mocks ups are very nice, but not practical. What happens when you encounter a speed hump?

What... Peter i thought you were a proper TVR man, of the south.

if you have genuine TVR blood you would know the WLA showroom was two floors of awesomeness hehe

I think the area it was in was classed as lark field.

You can simply just render / draw roads that are perfectly flat

I wish! No, just a Boxster S but an LE edition, an RS60 Spyder.

What it lacks in total performance, it certainly makes up for in the bends!

How could I be tempted by an electric roof, air-conditioning, PASM, traction and all the other mod cons?

Is it the end?

Pretty cool, but extreme.

I think the truth lies somewhere between this and the original car. Wide body is a must, totally changes the face from guppy to bully.

I realise that these are just extreme renders but I agree with you - wide body wheel arch extensions but with usable tyre gaps and road clearance (with no engine poking through the bonnet!) and you'd be "on the money"!

Yep. Took a second look and only now noticed the inlays in the air-intake. They too change the look significantly and might have quite an impact in the right color. I highlighted them (amateurishly):

Your profile says Kent. Did you work at WLA.
I did.

I thought I'd changed the profile as I've moved.

Looks to have a nose problem that is restricting breathing hence always drinks like that

Seems to be about to cry through frustration

Larkfield.

Getting the cars upstairs was a little bit hairy.

The site was a Mini dealer last time I looked.

I loved a visit to WLA. I can still remember on one of my last visits as a kid with my dad, must have been 1998... chimaera and cerbera downstairs, SEAC upstairs. A proper selection!

It was a proper car showroom.

Blue with cream leather 450 SEAC with a cherished registration?

Took an Audi RS2 Avant in part exchange against it.

Or we bought it from someone who'd bought the Audi to replace it.
Something like that. It was a long time ago.
