This is my favourite page on the whole internet.

Sorry guys, just musing whilst waiting in anticipation for the next exciting announcement from TVR, you know the one where they say the first production cars are being delivered next March.

^^^^^^ I doubt that LE or Chopper man share your views. hehe

As has become the norm for TVR, their confirmation update for TVR Racing Ltd at Companies House is due by the end of today. It probably wont say anything new but you just never know...... scratchchin

Well if I cant see the new Griffith I will have to carry on looking at Elissa.

Mind you her front end is a lot prettier.

I always had Ferrari down as a toxic brand to me, although in fairness as a yoof i has the obligatory posters of a Daytona and a 512. Nothing that came out of Modena had the slightest appeal to me...but this is absolutely stunning. Stunning exterior, stunning front, stunning rear, stunning profile and stunning interior Wow. Some folks still know how to design stand-out cars.

Why couldn’t the TVR look a fraction as good as this. Although a bit of a moot point as you’ll actually be able to buy the Ferrari at some point.

What, a 1947 design cue originated by Pinin Farina? Might be they have first dibs, even if the rest of the architecture is a tad tried and tired/tested (still lovely).

Just not getting the TVR criticism angle TBH

No criticism. Merely an observation.

Yes accounts at year end. This is the confirmation statement. The last one for TVR Automotive had updates concerning the shareholders who had just ploughed a load of cash into the company (£3,059,093) so was hoping we might get a morsel or two. wink

I don´t like Ferraris either.
But this one really is stunning.
If the Maserati guys don´t know where to go now, this one could be it for them.
Sad that TVR turns out as such a busted flush.

With Mercedes shedding a 1000 jobs and European manufacturers facing huge costs to meet crippling EU emissions targets I can’t see any manufacturers coming to TVRs rescue.

I think there will shortly (ish) be an announcement saying due to EU emissions and lack of investment the project is over and we can all move on.

When’s the likely date for the plug to be pulled
If it doesn’t survive?

Presumably there’s the Welsh loan that had some conditions attached?

Just listened to piston ted talking with Chris Harris on collecting cars podcast. They aren’t hopeful.

I guess they could be, but that Tesla roadster looks like it will set a new performance bench mark.

Yeah sure it will but maybe a hybrid or one that uses a different battery tech (like the proposed lambo is doing with supercapacitors).

One word...
New Corvette....
Ok that’s two....
Notwithstanding still agonising over selling current toys adding a few bob and going for V12V.. be a bit less dosh than new Corvette in RHD guise but servicing V12V will be lots more than new Corvette I’m guessing...

Mid engine V8 or front engine V12... scratchchin

To be repaid by 2021. With interest by then it will be around £3m. eek
