Peter was a man who knew how to turn a dream into reality and had the drive to do it. A very rare set of abilities.

He has missed out the comms to deposit holders and the recent news re a ceo and the car being road registered. But his points re a lack of social media updates, the car ‘ageing’, the need for high quality and reliability etc are clearly correct.

Jay is a regular poster on PistonHeads. I’m sure he’s aware of this thread. No idea why he excluded that information.

I post in very few threads on PH. Just noticed this one.

I can't comment about the deposit holder updates as I am not party to them.

I can understand a desire to give certain information from those with cash in the business, but I cant understand saying nothing to everyone else. They say "no news is good news" but it's not good marketing!

I'd rather be wrong and have Les phone me up and put me right, but it doesn't look good to me.

The Cerbera and Tuscan reviews he did were terrible however.

But why would Les phone you up? If you went to investigate third party sources such as social media, forums etc, why not quote the latest information on this thread which included a copy of the email sent to deposit holders? Why not look at companies house and the movement there? Why not mention the comments from the welsh government? It’s almost as if you arrived at a conclusion and dismissed anything that didn’t support it.

You may well be right. TVR could be dead. However, your conclusion would have been more compelling if you didn’t appear selective with your references.

The email to deposit holders supports his point, so does the TVR website and social media

The email to deposit holders supports his point, so does the TVR website and social media
It definitely supports his lack of comms argument. But there is other information, as mentioned above, that would make the argument look less definitive eg there has been communication and there is further information.
The real conclusion wouldn’t be quite as headline grabbing ie i don’t know what their plan is and they might be about to start producing cars or they might not.

The only thing he needed to say is that TVR have no money and the project is dead.......period. He could have saved alot of his valuable time by making a video which was about 5 seconds long. This TVR saga is now limping along like a lame horse just waiting to be put out of its misery. Regarding the updates and this nonsense with the secret depositor club, registering the car, factory excuses, etc etc etc is just Les Edgar's smoke screen.

That’s not really how YouTube works.

The 'delightful to work with' Jones Bros who are to renovate the factory including, it seems now a new roof, have still not got anything about this project on their website or Facebook despite being appointed in June '19. The Welsh government estimated the factory refurb costs at £5m but now that Jones Bros have quoted for a new roof, perhaps the government is facing a substantially increased cost. So from their point of view it would be sensible to wait until TVR have actually got the investment in their hands - not just promises - before giving the go ahead.
They do sound to be ideal contractors though. Plenty previous building helipads and heliports. wink
Back in November I sent them an email asking if they had any information about the start of works. The message was read but no reply unfortunately. frown
