Here you go again, you just can't help yourself. Did you see my email? Oh no, you didn't. So you have no idea what I wrote. Did I ask for details? - No. Did I ask them to break client confidentiality? - No. So give it a rest.
I don't need to have seen your email to comment! You're not a party to the contract, you're not a journalist, it has nothing to do with you. The mere fact that you emailed a 3rd party builder is plain weird. They read your email and ignored you. Those actions speak volumes about what they thought about your interference/prying!
Wrong

Has everything to do with anyone that's placed a deposit and is concerned about lack of communication

Which is every deposit holder. And costing TVR 5 grand a pot from reserves every time one gives up - plus the loss of profit from the sale.

I expect Shmee will come up with another video soon - which is great but hardly befitting as TVR’s only PR.

To Shmee or not to Shmee, that is the question

A funny difference of opinion.

I expect Penelope Stopit and N7GTX send emails to their supermarket suppliers and contractors, saying I am a customer, so you must now answer my questions. smile

Exactly the same business relationship.

I almost sent an email to Sainsburys last week, I bought two jam doughnuts which had no jam in yikes

I was traumatised when I broke the first one open with a nice cuppa, only to get the last one from the pack and found no jam in that either mad

I decided to take them back to the store and demand compensation and they gave me a free pack of five with jam in cloud9

!00% doughnut, no jam, two doughnuts out of a pack of five and we ate the three with jam in first, what are the chances.

Devastating furious

Sainsburys smile

They told me the machine that put the jam in had broken down so there is a sort of connection with the topic in hand.

Think its more of an iScream according to the Latvian lady behind the counter.

She said "I scream to baker, Les, no jam, but he ignore me"

I used to have an antique business in the UK. My clock maker was a pedantic old fart. One day he received a package of pins that are used to hold the hands on antique clocks. It was a packet of 100, probably cost 4 or 5 quid. He counted them and there were 98 so he wrote to the supplier. They ignored him so he wrote again. Eventually he got a letter back with 2 pins enclosed and a note that said "here's your 2 pins now fk off you miserable old git". rofl

And quite rightly so, but, and it is a BIG BUT , back here in Blighty you don't f**k with a mans jam doughnuts.

hehe

The funny thing was though that when I took them back to the bakery counter I had already broken them in half, which is what I always do before I eat them so I can eat the bit with the jam in last smile. the lady behind the counter opened them up, laid the two halves of doughnut, sin jam, on the counter, looked puzzled for a few seconds and then muttered the immortal words,

"What's wrong with them?"

To Shmee or not to Shmee, that is the question
There will be something that follows soon but I'd like to pre-empt it by explaining that I have to shoot the content as Shmee for the masses watching globally, so it isn't quite as purist or informative as I would like if shooting something that was targeted purely for depositors and the very niche audience of this thread.

I didn't know about it being out in advance of the day, until hearing a photoshoot was taking place a mile or two from my place and quickly jumped over there to see it and catch the end of that. It has to be said the thing that stands out when it's on the road is quite how small it is compared to other cars. The paint on this specific car is lovely, and the plate placement at the front works much better than if it were in the middle of the grille or something more awkward.

The time I was with it wasn't really enough to ask the guys any questions; I grabbed a few photos and obviously shot some video clips but I hope to put something together more formally in the coming period to dig more under the skin. My deposit is still in and it'll stay that way but like everyone I would be very keen for more information, or even to be able to help TVR out in terms of their PR and social media coverage!

There’s some good news in that you got in on it - albeit by chance. A lot of questions still unanswered though.

It’s just a directors perk then.

Thanks for the update. Glad to hear you got yourself there. I assume that TVR have some PR plans albeit you are clearly the deposit holder with the biggest social media reach and so it’s all a little strange that they don’t have you on speed dial. Maybe they will paint the car pink and ask Jordan to drive it around.

And on the point that the car seems small. Most TVRs have been quite small. The cerbera and typhon looked a little larger which I think is partly the low roof line (and rear seats). Not sure what the dimensions are v’s older models.

Ok here goes :
Length / width / height
New Griff = 4314 / 1850 / 1239
Cerbera = 4280 / 1865 / 1220
T350 = 3975 / 1834 / 1204

So it’s broadly the same size as a cerbera. I suspect the ‘standing on stilts’ design at the rear contributes to it looking smaller.

Don't forget also that cars are growing in size quite significantly; but I was also parked next to it in the M8 Gran Coupe which is a gigantic thing at around 510cms long so that probably distorts perspective!
