Interesting that one of the biggest automotive ‘influencers’ around only seemingly found out about the car being out and about by accident - TVR really don’t help themselves, do they? rolleyes

Presume it wasn’t Les driving? Amy idea if it was a TVR bod?

I almost sent an email to Sainsburys last week, I bought two jam doughnuts which had no jam in yikes

I was traumatised when I broke the first one open with a nice cuppa, only to get the last one from the pack and found no jam in that either mad

I decided to take them back to the store and demand compensation and they gave me a free pack of five with jam in cloud9
Surely you spin the doughnut around until you find the jammy hole and put your tongue in? To stop the jam covering your face?

Anyhoo, wife works in the bakery at Sainsburys. I'm sick of the sight of bloody jam doughnuts. All you had to do was ask and I'd have sent you bags of the things. wink

I used to make them in the bakery in Asda, Southgate about 30 years ago smile

That was a tough summer gig. A 5am start weekdays and 4am start Saturdays. I don't think I ever got there on time Saturday after being out the Friday night before and never slept just came straight to work.

Learnt how to make and bake some nice breads though wink

I take it we are taking rasperberry jam filled (or not!) doughnuts? None of this weird strawberry jam filled things?!

All modern cars are a tight fit in supermarket parking spaces, ditto multi-storeys.
Hence I take my large booted Chimaera shopping, as it fits easily.
If only it had a better turning circle!

They are the ones, except occasionally without the raspberry jam frown

They are like christmas presents where you peel back the outer layer in anticipation of there being a whole lot of goodies inside lick

It will be interesting to see it in any Shmee video, around other modern sports/super cars.

Until you see it in the flesh it is hard to appreciate how small it is relative to other modens sports cars
(a good thing, especially on narrow UK roads and light as well we are told 1250kgs? ish)

Photo new Griffith next to a Sagaris and a Griff (which like my T350C all the older TVRs look tiny now compared to modern super/sports cars. or even a Fiesta/Mini)

If they took out those flattened out wheel arches similar to the Griff next to it it would help. Looks to production car for me. Common.

And extended the nose more also similar to the Griff stood next to it to get that gracefull line. It’s still a great chassis we assume so it might still be a winner. Could be really quick through the turns which is the important bit.

I think you got away lightly here Monkey, imagine if it had been the doughnut machine that had broken down, you'd have taken home a bag with small quantities of jam in.

Wouldn’t you have thought there would be a regular update on the website?
Photos of the factory?
Artists impression?
Update on the testing?
For getting on for 2 years there’s been nowt, and the ‘secret’ updates are bizarre. Its no way to carry on.

They just don’t get it, and think a sticker on a LM car and a number plate is enough.
There are photos of the factory on this thread/previous one and online, but it's not photogenic! I don't think you can blame then for not featuring it. It's just a derelict, ugly, old industrial building. As for an artists impression - it's going to be a car factory, not a celebrity's new mansion in Beverly Hills and it doesn't really matter what the factory looks like, it's what the car is like that counts. Did you ever see Bristol Avenue? Have you ever been to Maranello to the Ferrari factory, or Sant'Agata to the Lamborghini factory? They are all ugly factories.
Bit bricky maybe but I wouldn’t say ugly. No more that the surrounding buildings.

I do agree though that it is the product that matters. Not the factory. smile

FWIW I did email Les on the dearles email address from the depositor mail, and said that I would gladly help put out any news TVR had (in the interest of balance and fairness).

No response. If there is I'll let you all know of course.

"We have some news and it’s BIG – the factory, that is! 200,000 sq. foot in Ebbw Vale, soon to be echoing to the rumble and crackle of V8 engines as we head towards production. The Welsh Government announced officially yesterday that the site has been acquired and they are moving at high speed to get it ready for us"

Why would he reply to you, you're not a deposit holder.

You did the same with your dreary vlog about your 'mates' who had a poor experience with McLaren, expecting a response from McLaren HQ. Your delusion of grandeur is laughable.

Yep that attack on jayemm is pathetic. He's one of the few on YouTube actually doing it right. He'd also be a great mouthpiece for tvr to get some much needed good publicity.

His comments on tvr where correct and truthful. Not nearly as harsh as on here.

Also the comment reinforces my thoughts that mclaren owners are a lot like tesla owners in their religious devotion and inability to even comprehend criticism.

Woah. He is vlogging and so clearly needs to carry out research and make his services available to people.

Well, you're as entitled to your opinion as I am to mine.

To me his interest seems to be self publicity rather than any interest to be a 'great mouthpiece for TVR' but happy to be proved wrong.
