TVR - March 2018-
You may recall that the Welsh Government recently announced they had acquired the building for TVR's new factory facility in Ebbw Vale just before Christmas.
As time was ticking on, we decided to acquire some additional space in order to let us get started in advance of the refurb being complete on the main building. I am happy to say that this has now been achieved - close to the the main facility. We have already begun the move from our Guildford development site to the new unit and to configure the building for pre-production builds, pilot builds etc.
which is why people here were talking about a smaller facility, pre-production, etc,etc before the main factory.
does/did this new unit ever exist?
It appears not.You may recall that the Welsh Government recently announced they had acquired the building for TVR's new factory facility in Ebbw Vale just before Christmas.

That’s the post I was looking for. You may recall that the Welsh Government recently announced they had acquired the building for TVR's new factory facility in Ebbw Vale just before Christmas.

I think people were asking what happened to this on the PHs news thread also.

The Welsh government loan was taken out in March 2016 on a 5 year term. So repayable in March 2021.
The loan was for £3m and with interest that had grown to almost £3.5m in the last accounts in 2018. I'm not an accountant but the final sum must surely be around £4m?
The factory even if started today will take 8 months to repair. They will need to build and shift a lot of cars to pay overheads, salaries, suppliers and the loan in a little over 14 months.

time flies, so no V8 sadly, so the new EV 4 seater TVR Griffith spotted...they start with 25 cars.
oke its not a TVR solly, but when I opened that post and saw the colour used, and a bit of the lines, the first car came to mind was TVR.
if you scroll down it takes on a Tesla Model S SP100D in a drag race.

Which comments? Just a rehash from here with the latest update from TVR of course beinq ‘acquired by Carbuzz’ by them reading the copy posted here tooNothing new but the comments are interesting...
This just highlights why newco desperately need to get a grip and start promoting the car at every opportunity with positive updates using every social media platform. Once a company starts to get a bad reputation (even if just based on comments like these) it can take a long time to turn it around. They need to be far more proactive and positive.
