Sorry just my OCD.

Anyway it seems new TVR are already building unreliable cars even without building them.
The sign of someone not having a clue. New company new design somehow having the anecdotal issues from 20 years before.

You’re right, they’re nothing to do with TVR at all but their organisation and PR and management so far suggests a less than optimum experience for the owner.

How do people feel ?

1. Support TVR and stick with the progress, possibly consider buying when it happens no matter when that is.
2. Disenchanted but after all it’s TVR and I’m a fan of the marque so tentative support no purchase though
3. This has gone on too long. Lack of PR and updates has lost my active support. If it happens they can get on with it now
4. 3+.....It’s become a farce and bought shame on the name. It ain’t going to happen and if it ever does I won’t consider it a proper TVR.

Also:
A. Have a deposit
B. Had a deposit

Well spotted pupp. In fairness the comments link is so far from the main body of the article it takes forever to scroll to.
In fairness, it's before the article, right under the title splash! biglaugh

Well spotted Twin. Indeed it is. Either my mince pies need retuning or the page is a bit of a dogs dinner. biggrin

There’s a ton of advertising crap too.

Started at 1 but by now firmly in 4. I'm actually angry at them for using up basically the last of the goodwill towards TVR and from the start its becoming evident that the story they've sold to the public has been different to reality on multiple points.

The quote from car buzz along the lines of the car looking like a “mish mash of panels” and “nothing flows” is pretty much on the money and is their single biggest problem.

If the car looked like the second coming of the Cerbera or Tuscan we’d all be sat here rubbing our knees in excitement... And we’d gladly wait, and send out the “be patient chaps, the messiahs returning”. But we can’t, it’s just not generating that cerbera feeling, and I suspect deep down even in those who claim to love it, don’t have that feeling.

I can't believe that LE is quoted in 2018 as saying they had acquired another facility near the new main one and had started work on it so they could start production, training etc while the new factory was refurbished.. Yet, since then he's said nothing at all about it. So did he waste a load of money on it or was it just more fake news? Unbelievable.

[ TVR - March 2018-

You may recall that the Welsh Government recently announced they had acquired the building for TVR's new factory facility in Ebbw Vale just before Christmas.

As time was ticking on, we decided to acquire some additional space in order to let us get started in advance of the refurb being complete on the main building. I am happy to say that this has now been achieved - close to the the main facility. We have already begun the move from our Guildford development site to the new unit and to configure the building for pre-production builds, pilot builds etc. ]

If it wasn't an out and out lie, then he's more incompetent than I thought.

Clearly a case of 'tell them what they want to hear'.

I don't believe that the ugly smiley thing will ever go into production and they will hope to quietly let it all die. And only us here will actually notice.

Its a shame it has come this far, so long for the once Mighty TVR name/car/brand.

When they bought TVR I remember a lot was going on, TVR parts sellers and more TVR related items? had to listen or how you say such, to the new owners, rules were made etc.

What happened to all of that? do those still stand and or have to pay the TVR owners or how does that work?

What will happen when they realize it went different then in their 'dreams' at the start, they probably gonna sell all of it I guess.

What would such cost and what is all in that TVR package?

Maybe all TVR shops and or ex dealers and or fans? can buy it all for the magic 1 pound ;-) and then organize and start a small from some shed, TVR corporation and build new TVR cars without the need for testings, how many can they build a year without the need for big crash test etc like the big car companies have to do when they build thousands.

How many are you aloud to build, a few hundred?

anyhow was just thinking out loud what the possibilities are if and when.

2B, pulled the deposit when I bought another house in May 2018...

I like the car, like the looks, think it looks great in the red. There's some bits of styling in the interior I don't like, but the rest is good.
They just need to build and sell the damn thing...

3B. 2 deposits chopped in just before Xmas 2019. Time has moved on and I'm nearing retirement so reigning in spending.
