To keep boredom away I'm making a Christmas special to air on youtube, it's all about my new air fryer and the violent experiences I've had with it so far (e.g. used too much baking powder on the chicken wings the other night and it made us both ill)

Watch out for it next week, it's called Fry Hard
biggrin

Not at all. White Lives Matters sticker says it all. In most of the country you’d be lynched for such a sticker. If you were a public figure you’d be sacked. In Norfolk it’s something to be proud of (so long as you don’t live on the north coast of Norfolk).

Not done carrots yet (only had the thing a week).. however, I've got a Lamb Rogan Josh in the slow cooker (for tonight), and I'm doing a veg side dish to go with it (along with Naan and mango chutney and maybe a Raitha) which is cubed butternut squash (coated with appropriate spices) cooked in the air fryer.... Mmmmmm..... really looking forward to this one.... All accompanied by substantial quantities of Merlot and a large dose of Netflix.....

Oh, just to say the veg is kept in my (designed and built in the kitchen) TVR.

Nice one Richard.

I have been working this last week building this new Timber Ventilation Rack, (we like to call it our TVR).

Built from green oak sourced from the Surrey Hills Honeysuckle timber mill.

Not up to the standard of your vegetable rack but I’m quite pleased with it.

Mrs phazed couldn’t wait to get hold of the log splitter and start filling it up. Roll on another miserable cold evening so we can have the log fire roaring away, (unlike a particular other TVR that has been mentioned somewhere on this thread).

That's a profound post ! The golden rule is to enjoy everything in moderation, (including moderation) ....... only drink on days with a Y in the name beer

Just been looking at the TVR merchandise via the 'official' TVR website. Select 'Store' and there are 4 choices.

1. TVR Store - insecure link so Google prevents access rolleyes
2. TVR Parts - purchase "genuine parts" from TVR Car Parts Ltd - which takes you to Racing Green rolleyes
3. TVR Racing - tie up with Teddy Edward for clothing - some BIG savings on there right now e.g. TVR baseball cap was £25 now £5. Late
Xmas shopping?
4. TVR Car Club - club shop.

Well, a first for me. I clicked on the link and then the second required one; "can't connect as your clock time is incorrect". I checked, it isn't rolleyes

At the same time an email arrived from my local MB dealer offering 'exclusive, VIP, special customer' (you get the drift) offers : a thermo mug (0.5litre) to fit in the cup holder, bargain at £41.80; cap at £57 or a branded ballpoint pen at just £78.

I must admit that I didn't realise that they were selling TVR branded clothing, I'd rather it was the car.

If there’s one thing I hate it’s branded accessories.. Duxford spring classic some years ago all the fezza boys were wearing Ferrari shirts. Hats, socks, jackets etc all in red obviously.... really really cringeworthy... same with TVR, have a good mate lives down the road from me, owns a Griff, insists on wearing a baseball cap with TVR on the front to club meets and car shows... still, I’m a live and let live person so if it makes people feel good then why not, and there’s no harm in it....

I just wonder, you probably don’t advertise your name on your hat or tee shirt, so why the need to advertise your car....?

But what your saying is it’s cringe worthy if you wear your TVR cap or any other by the sounds of it.
Good god the accessories you can get for the discerning Aston gent and the prices of the case for the bloody pen let alone the pen are disgusting in these modern times besides being totally pointless other than to show off and say you have it.
What a bunch of

Wearing a cheap cap supporting your car brand or mark is hardly showing off, in my case it’s a handy natty Tvr one that keeps the sun out my eyes but now I’ll feel a dhead wearing it yikes

Touchy subject innit

Perhaps it would be worth a pole asking who does and who doesn't offer free advertising for manufacturers and pay for the privilege of doing so

Struggle to buy trainers because of the brand names on them

Yes the whole situation is really really really really cringeworthy

Once saw a chap walking down the street with made in England tattooed on his forehead, what a deadbeat, he was only advertising himself as a product but bloomin heck, perhaps he was simply scared of getting lost on holiday. I mean to say like, what's the world coming to

Any real difference in wearing a cap with "TVR" on it than one with "Nike" or "Adidas" etc? They're all brands. I agree about some of the Ferrari (or insert a number of other brands) type merchandise madness (where it seems to be about showing your financial worth) but surely a cap is functional and not the world's biggest issue.

Actually, I do - but only my nickname on my rugby/cricket coaching gear! wink
