Someone needed to say this.
The hope I presume is that a pension fund or similar that are into higher risk investments would invest without a second thought. Or at least on face value on the ‘prospectus’.
So if the box you ticked when pension planning was for a % to go into high risk then this is the type of venture it may be invested in.
I’m checking my policies tonight and changing them to Ned/low risk in case my pension providers can’t differentiate between ‘high risk’ and ‘throwing away’.
The only good news for a potential investor is that, instead of delinquent loans (the article talks about facilities having "expired" which means they'd simply not repaid them), there is now a 2-3 year runway. That at least takes away some of the immediate creditor pressure. The hope I presume is that a pension fund or similar that are into higher risk investments would invest without a second thought. I note also that the leasehold property Lister House has once again been pledged as security, so I presume they have a long leasehold on it. If they've "closed that office" are they instead letting it out to help cover a few bills?
The building called Lister House is, I think, now called Griffith House, Walliswood Green. Abinger RH5 5RD (same postcode for both names).
This is TVR head office and where they keep the new car and a couple of older ones.
You can just see the new car in the showroom window on street view. (the lane next to the telephone box on the road through the village).

The people in that detached and previously isolated house next door must be SO glad a TVR development building opened up right next to them .... !
I think they'll only find it as a short term inconvenience It was previously called Smiths Garage many years ago. There is a covenant in the title deeds expressly prohibiting vehicle nuisance to the neighbours; no bus or lorry depot; no scrapyard or vehicle dismantling. And no gipsies to be allowed to camp on the said land.
(The registered owners are two Isle of Man based companies and the price paid was £500,000 in 2014)

Seen the glorious Sagaris on Facebook that’s got a German V10 engine fitted.
That’s a very exciting project.
Now that would work for me

Haha,,, yes this is true which is why it’s so ironic. He’s clearly heavily into BDSM
It’s when they have been subjected to high mileage and poor maintenance apparently.
He has spare engines and obviously knows the tech involved and it’s hardly likely to be a motorway munching car as he is also reducing the Dif gearing considerably.
It’s using the paddle shift gearbox too.
Might be the fastest TVR in the west mate

So tree actually is work going on at the Wales site? is that not a significant milestone, or is this work being done by the Welsh government to employ welsh people and then sell the factory with a new roof later?
I’d say that’s absolutely what’s happening. The investment in the road system that feeds this area is huge and been going on since before TVR entered the fray so as this is virtually the first easily accessible industrial estate on the route that also has a large population on its door step and factory visible from the main roadside so half of Wales will eventually see it. A bit like Prodrive who cleverly use a site visible from a very busy motorway system clever thinking indeed so this site if we had the world we had 5 years ago was a very good idea. Wether TVR or anyone else gets to use it in the near future is another question.
The repairs and roof are nothing to do with TVR, that's the Welsh Govt's decision. The significant milestone will be when/if TVR start fitting out the factory which is their responsibility. The last government statement was non-committal that it was definitely TVR who would move in. They said it would be ideal for TVR; not that it was for TVR. And TVR have said the take up of the bond issue has not met their aspirations.
So some more waiting......
So some more waiting......

I expect it was a close call between fixing the roof and bulldozing the site, looking at the photos.Classic Chim said:

You haven't spent much time in Wales have you. That's a "modern" "high end" facility compared to most.
Yeah it’s very sad to see the huge wealth the coal created by fuelling the industrial revolution was never invested back in the place. It may be sad but it is what it is.
I'm sure the Welsh Govt. and people will welcome the new investment from outside of Wales.
