Didn't she once have a TVR dealership in Surrey called Mole Valley?

Are you sure it wasn’t a beaver?

Any discussions regarding her valley are strictly between her and I.........

I was on HMS Beaver in the late 80’s. Her sister ships were called macho names like Battleaxe, Broadsword, Brazen, Boxer, Brave, Brilliant.... Someone, somewhere in the naming committee, must have had a few spliffs whilst reading readers wives in Razzle and came up Beaver.

Pops head around door perhaps for the final time to see if there is a car to be bought yet.
Despite what I said last time, I'm popping my head around the door again to see if there is a car to be bought; to be honest, it may be what's happened over the last 12 months, but I quite fancy a 500bhp lightweight, manual shift, loud V8 sportscar for £80k! I'll come back again in another year.

When it comes to engines, this ship had some serious Horse Power. Main engines were 2 x Olympus Gas Turbines (maritime version of what Concorde was powered by). When on full chat, they produced 54,000 bhp. Was quite an experience stood in the engine room between the two engines when doing 30 knots in a 4,500 tonne ship.

Ship engines are something else! Got a picture of one of my school mates in the engine room during his training. He was holding a spanner as big as him!

Fortunately your Beaver did not have after burning.......
