New TVR still under wraps! (Vol. 2)

So it seems we might have been completely wrong about the number of deposits, you know. In January 2021 LE told Evo Magazine in an interview:
'The 500 Launch Editions are sold out. In fact, we have 700 orders, and between ten and 15 per cent of those are for left-hand drive.’
So that would equate to £63million worth of orders (at £90k each).
In 2020 in the blurb for the bond issue LE says:
'The first year’s production is fully sold out with the 500 limited Griffith LE supercar launched at the Goodwood Revival, demonstrating the
brand appetite and generating in excess of a £40m order book.' (presumably £45m?)
So how does TVR maths work then? Surely if you are chasing funding you would be shouting 'we have an order book with over £60m?'
In the same interview LE says TVR Parts is up and running. Erm, no it isn't, you formed a company, that's all. Anyone doing due diligence before investing might be forgiven for having doubts.

I reported on here, because it was important that last winter I had in excess of 50 molehills! I tried those metal steel trap mole traps which caught absolutely nothing and every couple of weeks I cleared away a few wheelbarrow full of soil because the back garden looked like a scene out of World War I. Then miraculously they disappeared. Garden has been free of them for at least four months.
My neighbour also had moles at the same time, not half as many as us. He employed a mole catcher who caught exactly zero moles!
Mole Valley ?My neighbour also had moles at the same time, not half as many as us. He employed a mole catcher who caught exactly zero moles!

Can you imagine Peter Jones (the tall one) from Dragons' Den asking them when their product will be available in the market.
Orders, factories, but you have nothing to sell, and you can't tell me when you will have anything to sell......
Q. Evo Magazine: 'Do you have anyone on board to do the dynamic set-up?'Orders, factories, but you have nothing to sell, and you can't tell me when you will have anything to sell......
A. LE: ‘We do. But I can’t say who it is!’

LE might stand a very, very, very slim chance. The Rymans man likes historic race car driving.
It might be difficult explaining that the only car in existence so far, was not even built by TVR. Maybe try to keep quiet about that point.
The Dragons were taken in once by an obvious (to me) exaggeration. It was a haulage company, which claimed to be far greener than any of their competitors. It was so green, that customers were queuing up to pay higher haulage prices! I forget how they exactly explained the very green aspect with diesel engines. Their stated profit margin was also far better than their competitors. In an industry with high costs and slim margins, it was all rather fishy, but the Dragons loved it and several invested.
You can guess what happened later. Went bust.
I just bought a tree (it's an English Yew Fastigiata ), so I can run my two TVRs and polluting old BMW and remain carbon neutral .... Who needs EVs ? Should be the new Government environmental policy . My newest vehicle is 15 years old and the oldest 23 , so my complete lifecycle environmental costs are extremely low .

What about all the other 'off topic' conversations that are keeping us amused while the new car appears? You know, the ones about motorbikes or courgettes and other luvly veggies? Can we talk about them or is it just because one person has whined about pests in the very same gardens?
This thread has developed into a friendly place to banter and discuss silly things to pass the time until the new car appears. Its all just a bit of fun. Or was.
What is the problem?

The problem, given the timing of Big Als post, is my script of TVR in Dragons Den so maybe we should get back to gardening and avoid TVR altogether?
