Unfortunately LE has lost this battle.

The Lotus Mira has taken customers by storm, the modern NEW factory is being fitted out ready for production. Lotus have taken on staff to produce the car and is training them now.

The Lotus downside is that its a V6 , being a V8 fan that’s a shame but with last calls for petrol cars being 2030 nothing short of a miracle can save TVR under LE.

Have to agree, TVR doesn't stand a chance now. The Griffith is already massively out of date, and nowhere near production. Who would actually want one now. The world has moved on, but TVR seemingley have not.

Sad really, as still look back to 2004 when I purchased a T350C and it was genuinely awesome. Clearly with its issues, but who cared. There was simply nothing like it.

Not if in the Emira it sounds like does in an Exige. Quite why anyone would want the 4 pot AMG lump is beyond me (other than it being 20k cheaper of course smile )

Why wouldn't they? A 4 pot has been the staple of Lotus since forever, until they developed their own (rubbish) V8 for the Esprit, and then bought in the Toyota V6.

Because the V6 in the Exige stirs the soul with its epic howl and tugs the heart strings.

Not saying that 4 pots aren't part of Lotus history. My Elise has the Toyota 4 pot. Just with the Emira you have the choice

Surely the whole point of a car like this, its the intangibles not the spec sheet that matters. I can imagine on paper the 4 pot at 20k cheaper is going to look a steal given the relative power outputs.............but that V6 howl is priceless

Did I overhear some reps were over looking that ind estate with a mind to battery production...... Might there be a connection.

I thought he said the team were busy “clearing out sheds” which would suggest Tvr have a presence on site. Surely the office space has been all planned out.
Has anyone seen a big order for desks yet laugh
Yuasa have a factory next door on Rassau. scratchchin

LE said, 'We’re now busy working on finalising the internal layouts for the production areas and the designs for the new offices at the front. We’re looking forward to getting on site once we have clean, dry and weather-proof areas to work in!'

'Finally, after all that demolition, construction work commenced with the new roof panels being prepared and lifted up onto the prototype build area earlier this week:' Announced on 7/6/21 (7 weeks ago) so this refurb is going to take a while longer methinks.

Any similar articles in the Ebbw Vale local press?

No because the BBC reported in 2009 that the Ebbw Vale newspaper office had closed because they could not compete with digital news.

"The Neath Port Talbot Guardian and the Wrexham Chronicle stopped printing earlier this month, and newspaper offices have closed in Ebbw Vale, Aberdare and Blackwood."

And just to clarify, Dave ('cos I've not opened mine yet), this is an advert from NewCo showing 'their' new building, not some hitherto unmentioned tenant that are planning to grow leeks and daffodils in rock-wool?

When they take out an advert in Sprint, showing the signed lease for the building, then people might take notice.

They would probably need planning permission for the sign, especially if it is on the outside of the building and illuminated, and the landlord's permission too. And you don't put the sign up until the much later in the refurbishment process. It's the lease that we need to see!

Permission was sought for a fascia sign under advertisement consent on 6 March 2020 so presumably approved along with the refurb work.
