Pah, thats nothing. Try that when you're just near Geneva. Much more challenging !!
I see your Geneva, and I raise you Nicaragua... hehe
Pffffft.. Nicaragua would be MUCH easier, as you didn't have to deal with the French !! Helpful - not really. hehe

Parts for mine were near identical if its any comfort?
its not stopped p*ss!ing down since I picked mine up, it actually felt the same as before it failed spectacularly. I should've got a pic of the fingerless diaphragm. its a wonder it functioned at all.
I couldn't find any information in my file that it'd ever been replaced but mine had only done 30k miles. frown

The lead tech where I get mine looked after said they originally sold replacement diaphragms but stopped years ago, presumably as AP cottoned on to the fact they could sell a whole clutch assembly. Not sure if that diaphragm weakness was a function of the TVR installation or poor design.

Similar thing happened to me in the Sagaris recently

Whilst out on a drive, it was getting harder and harder to get into gear and the clutch was starting to feel funny and then soft. Finally I realised that failure was imminent, and I managed to park up in a layby, and at that point I really should have called Green Flag.

But instead, like an utter lemon, I decided that I was only a mile from home and that all I needed to do was negotiate one roundabout, one left turn, and then a right turn into my driveway and I was home. So I started the car in gear and had a go. On the roundabout, it wasn't clear, and I stalled. I tried to re-start in gear but failed and ended up stopped on the roundabout, couldn't get it restarted, smoked the clutch, and that was that. Utterly utterly stupid on my part.

Several people stopped to help me, including a lad in a van full of stage equipment who offered to tow me. Then an AA man stopped and said he didn't care if I was a member or not; I was in a dangerous situation and he would tow me to a place of safety. But then he agreed to tow me home and even helped me get the car into the garage. He was an absolute star and I insisted on buying him a few drinks.

The car is being picked up today to be fixed, and I'm rather dreading that the bill is going to be similar to yours.

Despite several engine rebuilds, and being on its second flywheel, I don't know when the clutch was last replaced, if ever. The car has done around 44,000 miles.

"...……...they all do that sir!...………"

Its true - diaphragms are no longer available; there was loads of meat left on the clutch plates on mine

My clutch pedal went to the floor whilst on a tvr trip to france. Fluid dripping out the bottom of the gearbox, slave cylinder i think. The car gets repatriated on wednesday to Woody at TVR101. Three weeks to get it sent back ,absolute nightmare.

Who are you insured with ?? I had a very similar 'episode' with master cylinder failure. Two weeks to get the car back to my garage of choice ......BUT, the car came back via a very professional company in a totally enclosed recovery vehicle. The car was exactly as we left it, and all intact, and in good order - except the failed master cylinder !. The upside is a slave cylinder doesn't cost much at all and its a quick fix. Hope you get sorted quickly.

Not really when the gearbox has to come out and whilst you're in there you might as well take a proactive view on the clutch if its not been very recently changed. It seems to be a dilemma quite a few of us have faced recently. Mine was a no-brainer with 60k on it even though the slave was the root cause.
