So once again I’ve had another one of those weekends.
Daily driver failed it’s MOT on Friday (Mg Zt) so decided to break it for parts as it’s not worth saving (200k miles and at least £600 to spend) I have another one with only 72k miles on it so will keep the parts for that.
Decided to get the Tuscan off my drive so I have room to break the MG and take the Tuscan to my parents who don’t live far away.
Problem is the blooming thing wouldn’t start. It’s been sat for about a month as I’ve recently had an operation. The electrics work but the starter wouldn’t spin and the fuel pump isn’t working either.
Assumed it might be the Meta immobiliser so in my impatience I just started cutting wires (probably not the best idea-but i have no patience for the car now having had one issue after another and having thrown a decent wedge at it.
Subsequently I’m managed to get the starter to work but still no fuel pump.
I was therefore wondering if anybody has a schematic as to how to bypass the immobiliser and which wire I should be connecting to which?
I have to say I’m passable with the mechanical side (did the steering rack and full suspension myself last year) but I’m useless with electrics.

Thanks in advance

Chris

Check the 'ribbon-type' (flat, black) cable with small (iPhone type) male plugs on the end going to the META M-99T 'box' and M36(?) box in the drivers footwell.

Squirt a little contact cleaner on the plugs and re-insert into the Meta modules/boxes....and that may do the trick.

Thanks Nick

I tried contact cleaner on the plugs before I started cutting but no joy unfortunately.

Thanks for making the effort to reply!

My next suggestion would be to call Dave Fairclough at HF Solutions (mob: 07721 654829)….He may want some proof you're a bona fide owner though?

Gave up in the end, will probably get it towed to TvR as they are great guys. Got the pump working by hard wiring it to a spare battery but still wouldn’t start so can’t be a spark.

Once again reminds me why I sold my Chim all those years ago.

Ended up doing a lot of pushing to get cars moved around on my drive. I’m sure the neighbours will be happy now as it looks like a scrap yard but screw them as nobody came out to help!

Hi guy
Seen a lot of posts about the tvr tuscan immobiliser issue, went out for long run in car. Put in garage week later came to go for a run. Trickle charge all good all negs good. Lights wiper ect work.
No dash lights no fuel pump or starter. Now got to immob does anyone have which pins to short out to bypass. Can power things from the plug by shorting out, dash starter, not pump as yet. Any wiring plan for this. Please
