PistonHeads received at least 2 emails over the weekend reporting this as a misrepresentation so I think PistonHeads have reclassified it as sold and removed it. Wonder if the dealers are aware yet?
They haven’t removed the ad. It’s still there. I suspect it’s the seller who has marked it as sold. He has had a few emails pointing out the issues and telling him what it’s actually worth. I suspect he has marked it as sold as he thinks this will stick 2 fingers up at everyone.

What will be funnier, is if they have priced the trade-in in line with real sagaris market price

Could be a bit of a loss On the horizon hehe

I highly doubt a dealer would make that mistake. Any basic check shows it's a Tuscan and would be valued as such.

I'm sure he'd do a bit of digging to and find the threads we've seen.

True as it is registered as a Tuscan. Would be humorous though.

So it is, I didn't have the 'Show Sold' option ticked, but can now see it.

I think they'll be looking at passing this on at 65% less than the asking price eek

From the advert it's clear they know that TVR never made a production Sagaris Targa and that this example was very unusual, so to me it's not plausible that they didn't know it was a conversion on a Tuscan, which leads me to think it's a difficult mistake to make.......

People are very ignorant of TVRs. Honest mistakes can be made.
But the error needs to be corrected obviously.

Was a post on FB the other day, a detailer had posted some pictures of his work, on a "limited edition " Turbo Chimaera, apparently only 20 ever made, weighed less than a Ton too according to the owner.
Funny how things get mixed up.

Isn't it illegal to advertise something as something different to what it is ?
A Tuscan Mk1 can't be advertised as a Sagaris under trades description act ?
Maybe Piston Heads gurus should be more careful about what is advertised on their site .
What he said !

It's not mentioned in the ad though.. nothing about the car. Just about them..

Run a mile.

The ad has gone from their website too so maybe it was SOR and they've given it back to the owner after realising it was actually worth 30% of the advertised price!

I am more than a little disappointed that neither the Dealer or Pistonheads Fraud team have replied to my emails.

It's however great to see the way the TVR massive pulled together to try and prevent someone being ripped off.

I wonder who actually owns the car .. it must be over 10 years since it was built for terry grant, and I can't think I've ever seen it actually being used. Mot history shows a few years of tiny mileages and a couple of higher mileages earlier on, so it's been standing around a lot of its life, would need re-commissioning as with all tvrs which have stood idle for lengthy periods.

I don’t think it was ever removed from Autotrader where it is also showing as being Cat D.
