TVR Car Club Cadwell Park Trackday - 29 May 20
Discussion
Early days yet but given that it is about 10 weeks away, is this likely to happen?
Events are happening so quickly and there is great change practically every day, who knows.
My gut feeling gauged by other countries and speed of the coronavirus progress at the moment is no.
What a pain...........

I contacted Cadwell Park today. They are still planning that their track days will still be going ahead, although they are putting in procedures to restrict person to person contact (ie at signing on etc). Sixty drivers and maybe twenty passengers, spread out at a big area like Cadwell ………
Will keep you informed when/if I hear anything. In the meantime if you can encourage friends etc to keep signing up via the Club website.

It's not going to happen. A track-day would be against the Government edit to avoid unnecessary social contact and travel. MSV and the track-day company will not want to defy the Government and the resulting bad publicity, and who will want to travel and attend anyway.
Nobody in their right mind will be thinking about pleasure time away from home during this pandemicTerrible times, heartbreaking news every day
Keep well
They will tell you anything at the moment. It won't be running in May. Look at the leap in cases from last week to today. How many do you think will be infected by May?
Will MSV have enough/any staff/marshals? Why would you even want to go to potentially infect them/catch it from them or anyone you meet en route - petrol station, (assuming that is open and there is fuel), breakdown services etc (assuming they have any staff).
What about if you crash your old TVR and end up in hospital? Do you really want to sit in an overstretched A&E department, adding to their burden, surrounded by Corona patients? Will you even get an ambulance if you need one?
What part of the Government's advice from yesterday don't you understand?

This is much more serious than most people think.
Practically everything will be on hold.
They are dishing out redundancies in my daughters office, (50 people working there) as I type this.
This is an unprecedented event and should not be taken lightly.
There will be huge unemployment and quite probably nothing will be the same again, at least for a long, long while.

Cadwell Park have sent out the following email to all Track Day organisers:-
"Hi all,
Firstly, I hope you are all well.
I have spoken to some of you over the last 24-48hrs with regards to the current situation at out venues in relation to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Following extensive discussions with senior management including Jonathan Palmer, we are still able to operate car and bike trackdays and non-permitted car test days. Some areas of our business have been postpone until at least the end of April, but the risk to trackday and car testing customers remains very low, hence our decision to continue.
Naturally we have made changes which some of you might have seen already to reduce the need for human contact and gatherings where possible. As such please find attached these changes and actions we have taken. It goes without saying that there will be hand sanitiser available in registration areas and toilet facilities will be well stocked with soap in all dispensers. This has all been discussed and communicated to all circuit managers.
Can you please all read the attachment and communicate to your customers as you see fit.
Please let me know if you need any further information.
Kind regards"
