My accumate has bitten the dust after I left it connected up and the lights still on for a week in the Chimaera rolleyes

Are Accumate still the preferred choice of batter conditioner these days or are there better now? Can anyone recommend a replacement?

Thanks in advance
Cad

I use CTEK has been faithful and keeps the battery in great condition.
Haven't changed the battery in around 7 years......

I'd say stay with it, bought an Accumate back in the 90's for my Chim, Tuscan & Cooper Works Mini, also bought a C'Tek in 2012 for my XKR, had the C'tek running on the Jag no problems changed it over to give the Mini a bit of a boost, on 24 hours later Mini battery Dead! Changed over to my trusty old Accumate, 24hrs later Mini all working fine. Used the Accumate ever since and gave my C'Tek to a mate of mine earlier this year just for emergencies.

So Yep, Accumate everytime for me.

Had an Aldi conditioner on mine for 14 years. Can't see any point spending more than £11.99 when you don't have to!

I'm with you Big Al ... Three ACCUMATEs on 3 cars never let me down ... and I'd loose my street cred if I was ever seen shopping in ALDI (or LIDL) smile
I only go to ASDA when Bombay Sapphire is cheap

Well if you were a beer drinker rather than a puffy gin drinker, you'd change your mind wink

Accumate gets my vote - Sag is on one, Elise is on one and even my sit on Lawn Mower is on one

They are both good, My Tr6 is on a C-tek and Sag on an Accumate In my opinion the Accumate has the edge.

With my ACCUMATE I use Anderson connectors on both the tuscan (on chassis) and the chimaera (socket installed under passenger side dash)

Yep, Accumate for me on the T350 for last 11 years. Hook mine up to the 'cigar lighter' socket.

Just replaced one of my CTEKs with a Noco Genius 2 which I think is more substantially built and the lead length is massively longer and therefore better suited to my needs

Amazon Prime Day deals on both CTEK (21% off) and Noco (30% off) at the moment

I phoned Accumate and they advised me the unit should still be ok, and the battery may have completely discharged so will require a lot longer to reach its fully charged status.
I have been tempted to go for a Ctek or Noco in the 'Prime Day' deals. I'll have a look at the Noco 2 and see if there are any better features on it that my old Accumate.

or maybe your battery is completely knackered !!! Nowadays they seem to just give up the ghost rather than slowly deteriorate .

No it's fine. It cranked over the Chimaera yesterday and drove it to the MOT center. It's been on the accumate since yesterday afternoon and still hasn't reached 100% charged yet. Maybe it needs a couple of days.
I still might get the Noco Genius 2 for £35 and keep it as a backup.
