Myself, Barrie PIper and Paul Chance are all at Santa Pod on Monday 19th July.

My 10.61 was run some 6 or 7 years ago when I just pipped Pauls 10.62.
Barrie recently went to the pod on another test day and ran 10.86.

See here for further details https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

My car isn't quite as quick as it used to be but may have the potential to get close to these times again.

Paul has a new engine and threatens to take the top spot on the day.
Barrie also just needs to string that perfect run together.

There are places available to spectate. You need to be named as crew for one of us. If anyone really wants to come along then get in touch and we may be able to sort you a ticket. Numbers are limited so its first come first served.

I think this promises to be an entertaining day. There will be 90 cars in attendance including some very quick machinery.

Sounds like fun, have a great day.

Is it a competition event or a RWYB?

Its a private test day organized by one of the FWD guys.
Hes done a few now and they are great days with 90 cars and drivers all with a similiar mindset to make improvements.

I will be getting a ticket for the Summer Nationals and making a weekend of it camping.

I’d encourage the taking up of Derek’s kind offer; such events are always fascinating in terms of the machinery and driver approaches taken. Great to have such close access too for anyone even half mechanically inclined.

A monday wont work for a lot of people but for those up for it i can promise an entertaining day. I think we may also be able to offer passenger rides although some of us need to be careful to keep the the pods rules and limit our terminal speed to the 130 max permissable
