Am I the only one who enjoys driving their TVR in the rain? When it chucked down on Saturday, I just knew I had to go for a blast in the Chimaera. What a hoot . Even driving at (near) the speed limit can be fun, making smooth driving very rewarding.

Something I notice which surprises me, is that the tyres work a lot better when warmed up, even in the streaming rain, so I always start off with some fast accelerate/brake, accelerate/brake blasts.

Yes it does make you sick & twisted!
I had to venture out on Saturday and my change of lanes without any steering input, due to standing water and bold SO'2s wasn't fun!
But it is very focusing, the drive home along some twisty tree lined damp leaved covered A roads was fun at times squirming the back end around

Mustn't be using mine properly, still have to force the Chimaera to step out of line. Use it all year round, it only becomes a bit of a handfull when theres 6 inches of snow on the ground.

I love it when it rains... nice slides out of roundabouts, throttle controlled steering etc. the commute to and from work is always fun in the wet Thing is I decided earlier this year that sooner or later the chimaera is going to become one with a lamppost or tree (no not pedestrians or other traffic cos I don't drive like that when other people could be hurt)... so I decided to get a 200sx for a second car as body panels are cheaper

Humph. I find that whenever I open the garage door to get the 390 out, it starts to rain (like yesterday). But that doesn't stop me....!

i see a moneymaking sideline forming... you could offer to text people whenever you're about to go out for a drive

I always find that whenever I want to go on a trackday its really sunny . however most people like sunny, dry trackdays, so I could offer a similar text service

Admit to sneaking in a tad of rear wheel drift around a quiet roundabout today and made me smile (that I controlled it!)

No, if you enjoy the challenge of driving a TVR then doing it in the rain is just more of the same!

Not the best time of year though, watch out for those leaves, or that controlled drift out off the roundabout could turn nasty on you.

Rain = Fun.

With the S I loved it. With the Griffith I'm a little bit more careful having only had it for 5 days or so.

Although I have done 1300+ miles on wet, greasy and very fast French roads

I even like going out in light rain with the top down, if you keep your speed above 40ish, the rain goes over the top - honest. Junctions/traffic lights are a bit damp though, am I barking?

Rain is the best fun you can have. Albeit I have to admit the Supra comes out for fun in the rain. Other one is too precious for me at the moment to risk hitting curbs and stuff. Funnily enough, nothing has ever happened whilst "playing in the rain" so there's no reason why I feel like this,
