Ensorcia Metals is a division of Ensorcia who are a crude oil and gasoline corporation in North America but who hope to be mining in South America.
Describing them as a 'gasoline corporation' is a bit generous.. From the reports on their accounts I can see they have very limited turnover.

I know it's not very scientific, but Linkedin only lists 2 employees, for Enscorcia metals its a whopping four...
Headquarters in Geneva apparently, and they trade over 50 million barrels of crude a month according to their main website (for such a grand company their spelling and grammar is poor)

https://www.ensorcia.com/begenning

If the report above (the foreign sounding one) was accurate and they did hand TVR £25m why not just take the company over? Its not as if the current board has car manufacturing experience. Daniel Layton (Ensorcia Metals chairman) is now on the board of TVR Electric Vehicles Ltd.

Edited: re the Autocar article. An 8 figure sum then so £10m upwards. At long last LE has admitted what we already surmised that they'd have gone bust and the factory delays actually saved the company.

If Ensorcia handed over an 8 figure sum presumably they did due diligence and believe there is a reasonable chance this will happen either because they will put up the necessary money or somebody else will.

As I said the factory isn't finished yet, there were 6 tradesmen on site when I went last weekend and no TVR signage (I'm guessing they will only be able to put up signage when the lease is signed.

I must say it looks a very smart facility and a long way from the tatty facilities at Bristol Avenue.

I'm still hopeful, but as frustrated as the rest of you and in my view it would be a good idea for Les to issue some sort of factual update to the faithful so we know his timelines and future plans. That at least would lend more credibility to the whole endeavour.

The Geneva office is into liquidation since 2018, and the 16th floor of their Houston office seems to be fully available for renting.
So their website is totally obsolete, at least they have something in common with the current management of TVR.

Well, that's novel - encountering "TVR" and "sustainable business" in the same sentence.

And in other news......

Pistonheads is reporting the launch of the new Mustang at a motor show in September, so the Griffith is going to be based on an obsolete Ford. That's keeping with tradition.

Or will they update it to the current model. Or keep on as they were - doing nothing?

which if it is based off the chassis of the (not)current Grif will be about as successful as Astons Rapide E (another stupid attempt to cram a BEV powertrain into a car not designed in the slightest to take said powertrain and thankfully one that was DOA before it killed either any owners or bankrupted the company....)

Yep nothing changes. Fingers crossed they can pull this off and make a go of it. Would be good to know what’s going on and what the plan is. Without tangible info one can only assume that the funding is still an issue and therefore it remains hot air and speculation.

Lots of action on TVR’s social media, Instagram at least tonight. The new Griffith, a 90’s Griff and the original, few girls posing in and with them and then a huge TVR ice sculpture in a bar. Formula E car in some of the shots. Looked like a party in a club somewhere in London, the type of party a young rich business would throw to congratulate its employees for a very successful year . . .

Only 6 on site proves that it’s finished and they’re just snagging.

Bristol Avenue as a different company that went under 15 years ago. They built excellent cars and had good marketing.

Absolutely, as was ever the case. Facts would likely sit awkwardly with anyone about to sign up to funding though so best carry on with smoke screens for now. We have to assume:
1.,Les knows what he is doing
2. The factory lease signing is imminent
3. Marketing, employment, procurement and production planning are all set to go
4. The launch will be announced shortly with canapés of blue cheese from the moon and bacon from a pig shot down over wales.

I best behave for a few more days. After his threats to kill; 'you're dead', a lot of swearing and 'I'll wrap that fking hammer round his neck' its been made clear by the polis that he made a formal complaint because I called him a 'wker' and he should 'ps off'. After I uttered those two nasty words in response to his tirade of abuse and threats, he said, 'calling me a wker now?' and when I said yes, he said, 'that'll do nicely and I'll ps off when I want to' and immediately called the bizzies. As a result, I have to attend the local cop shop for a 'voluntary interview' on Saturday cos I swore at him. cop

Around 2 years ago during another exchange, I called him a 'dhead' after his 5 minutes of verbal abuse. He said, 'I've got you now' and, wait for this, he dialled 999 in front of me. The police were there within 10 minutes. I did ask if they were going to charge him with wasting police time or misuse of the 999 system but no.
Mmmm, he wouldn't contact the police if he had anything about him, he's got no balls

He's obviously a very sick man

Some other problem in his life will very likely gain all his attention

What is the problem going to be?

Have you got any dirt on him?

Does he mess with other women?

Does he mouth off in the pub?

What would he do if a strange woman showed much interest in him?

Could he possibly fall for another man?

Do they own the house?

Does he go on holiday?

Does he gamble?

Would he likely fall for a load of bks spoken in the pub about a horse racing betting system that shows a massive profit every year?

A mate of mine came up with all the above and asked me to post it for him as he's not a member

In the autocar blurb

“TVR was different, for its history and heritage, its small scale and its focus on the luxury market”

Luxury Market and TVR really, not the TVR l know.

Let’s hope they start production soon.
