Right, which would be quicker around a lap of a race track, and point to point across our 'wonderfull' roads, under the same conditions and with the same consistant driver.
1. Tamora 3.6
2. Cerbera 4.5
Would there be much in it?
The future may depend on the answer, 'Speed Matters'

Or even, what would be the more enjoyable drive ?

Stripped down Cerb on the track, and roofless Tamora on the road maybe ?

I'll take either please.....

As ever depends upon lots of factors, but I bet there wouldn't be much in it (remember 0.1 sec a lap in a race is very important, but you wouldn't ever worry about the difference in any other circumstance).

Which track, which roads? There are probably examples of both that better suit one or the other car.

I think a more valid question is whether you want a roof and rollcage, or open air motoring.

Love open top motoring but love the sound of a 4.5 AJP V8, everything else doesn't really matter, to make it simpiler then would a Cerbera out accelerate a Tamora and pull away much if any over a 2 mile straight drag
I really ought to forget about it all together as the house deposit is slowly turning into a money losing 4 wheeled money pit but sod it you only live once.
Any one owned both? Which is more 'fun'?

Yes, you'll find the Cerbera quicker to 60, 100, 150 and way quicker to 195.

Agree with JeremyC...

If it's pace you want then put your deposit on a Cerbie 4.5...

The power distribution between the straight six and the V8 is totally different. You tend to have to wind the six around more to get the performance hence the V8 tends to be a bit pacier as you don't have to wait for the revs to build. Not much in it though.

Experienced a Red Rose Tuscan the other week and it certainly had the legs on my Griff 500 so that may be worth a try as well...

Dont be so silly, you know its got to be the V8, after all, you do want to be able to hear your exhaust note dont you,( and of course make it home to tell people about it )

Think the tamora is quicker in the real world. Handles miles better than a standard cerbie, although a cerb with modified suspension improves things a lot (just ask anyone with Joolz' suspension mods).

I own a cerbie and have test driven a tamora. Look at Flashers profile, he has owned both (I bought his old cerbie) and describes the differences well.

Cirvy - rest assured, you can hear a Tamora from a good distance, especially after 6000revs!

Raceboy, what's "the plan?"

Well hopefully a trip to see Joolz tomorrow with the cirvy one will pad the 'plan' out a bit more, but think Cerbera/less is more! (The Anti-Carisma Cerbera here we come)
Unfortunatly racegirl has other plans for all my hard earned, and I do really need a garage for the 'plan' to come together so don't hold your breath

Yeah, as mentioned below Flasher has owned both so he'd be the one to tell you, although I personally would have the Cerbera evertime, he'll be speaking through buttercup-tinted spectacles probably

The choice has been made, the Tamora thing was a moment of madness, and as usual the wallet (or is that racegirl) has ruled the heart, at the end of the day Cerberas are available for £16,000 and the cheapest Tamora is low £30k ish that gives me a lot of spending money at Joolz's place and plenty of beer/optimax vouchers!

What do you think my lap time round Donington would on the Go-Ped?
Trackdays can wait until the ex-race car makes an appearance
