Is it just me, or is he trying to rub it in?

Hmm, £1260 per year for my Chim 450, and I'm 25. Cost is not an issue for such a fine car!!

Im 27 and my insurance was 800 (Griff 500). Not to bad I thought as I'd never had a TVR before.

I’m 23 with a S2, insurance is £800, but I’m on limited mileage. 17 and a Tuscan, how? Rich daddy? Only jealous

that's good going for 17, especially if it's from money made by himself. i'm paying £1400 at 26 on a 4.0 chimaera. central london and speeding ban don't help though.

Out of curoisity I just tried an online quote for a 1999 4.5 Chimaera and it came to £1360. So much for the insurance dropping when you are over 25 and have 7 years NCB

When I was 12 I owned: Lambourghini Countach 500s (polar white) Ferrari 512BB (rosso corsa) and 246 GT Dino (sunset pearl) Mini Cooper (BRG) Various F1 cars and a whole host of other vehicles in a big cardboard box. I do remember Dad having to claim on the insurance once when I ran the Lambo across the hall and knocked over one of Mum's expensive vases......

I did actually prang a TVR aged 3 at the factory. Not my best moment.

Andrew Delahunty is either an F3 or Tuscan racer driver. Can't remember which. Save to say, I think he can handle a car

Guys you probably know this already but when Andrew Delahunty drives a Tuscan he drives it...on the track. He races in the Tuscan Challenge. Don't know what he drives on the road.

Gaffer, That 'being over 25' is a load of cack, as I found out. I've been after a Tiv for ages and decided to wait for the milestone 25. I actually bought my Chim when I was 24 since the only difference between 24 and 25 was just the excess, which has now dropped to £650.

Tell me about it, I couldn't wait till I was 25. I wonder if it will derease any more at 26..? At least at the moment I am only paying £300+ for my 4x4 (which Ted slated) so it gives me chance to look round and save up for a "proper" car as my other half would say.

I took the TVR plunge when I was 20 (S3) and have had them ever since (S3, Griff 400, Griff 500), I'm 29 now. I must be completely insane as the bloody things have cost me a fortune over the years! As for the insurance coming down as you get older, I've yet to see it. Every year as I get older (and wiser) my insurance seems to go up... I await 30 with interest. Graham

I couldn't afford to buy a TVR now at 25 never mind at aged 20. Hmmm I wonder if I have a rich relative I don't know about...?

I remember looking at an 'S' about 8 years ago (mid 20's). Prices where much as they are now. I was about to purchase an S2 for £8K, until I ran into financial trouble. Back then, you didn't *need* to be rich to at least buy one. Sparks

At 21 I wanted a S3, insurance was over 3 grand so i "settled" for a eurobox. At 29 the Chimaera was £800, and this year is somehow higher!! Cerbera costs me less to insure than the Chimaera. Why the hell do i have to insure both cars, when i only drive one at a time. any suggestions..
