You have not obviously seen JC in his latest Trash'em vid as he startit out in the very same yellow Tamora as in the pic he held up and is spinning doing about 10 360's and then the vid just kick off. He's only trying to get a rise out of the more easiy wound up out there. He puts it up against a BoxterS(no power!)later on and DESTROYS IT.....

Gaffer said: Yep...it would be in the garage with the rest of the cars from my top ten list. Along with Dads old TVR (the white Griff which was the press car at the time) his Chim (which a customer very kindly wrote off) and the Current Black Tuscan.

It was good of that customer to write off his Chimaera wasn't it

Will be dropping pressies at TVR Centre in the New Year as I can not get there before hand.

Let Giles know I'll be over with a couple of cases for your Dad and yourself .....

if you want advice on purchasing cars - watch 5th Gear or Driven.

just not necessarily good advice. unless you drive around with a lot of set jelly on the parcel shelf, for instance.

if you want a laugh on a sunday night to avoid getting depressed about having to go to work in the morning watch JC's Top Gear.....

yep, tis pretty much why i watch top gear these days. apart from the depressed bit.

I guess all the people who point, smile, wave and ask me to 'give it some revs' are thinking "that TVR is sssooooooooo uncool !"

I'm afraid JC wouldn't know cool from the gang.

Does it really matter who thinks your car is cool, apart from yourself. I have always bought my cars because I want them, cool or not, and I don't give a stuff what anybody else thinks about them. It is also possible that the general public perception of TVR's may not be what many on this site believe.

Do you think what JC said will effect TVR sales?

Hold on guys!
JC is now far to rotund to even be able to get into a TVR, never mind drive one. So he has to give them a "wide birth", oops!
Don't know about the rest of you ,but I do feel that Top Gear is looking pretty crap of late.
Cheers

Hang on a minute, does it really matter what he said. People on here say that they like JC's non-PC attitude and that he says whatever's on his mind (or scrpt), all he's done in this situation is just apply it to TVR's and suddenly everyone (well nearly) is spitting blood. Don't worry and to make yourself feel better watch his latest DVD or vid 'No Limits' and see as he decides that he isn't brave enough to really drive the T440C. Then go out for a completely non-PC blast.

Just sent top gear an E mail saying to put tvrs in the cool section and that we dont have our belts right up to our necks.

lets just hope JC will read it out on sunday!
Has any one sent an email to top gear.
if you are thinking about it go to "have you say"
on the web site.

If Clarkson's views annoy you - email the Top Gear website.

If enough of us say what we think of JC's bullshit views on TVRs, they'll have to show us some justice! (Mine's already been sent!)

PS - I'm 26 and own a 4.5 Cerbera Lightweight. Trousers worn as low as they get.

Clarkson rocks. I agree with most of his views (I know, guarenteed to attract a load of flack!).
I wonder what his response would be to a bunch of 20-somethings pitching up in their TVR's?

I'm gutted I didn't get tickets for this series. Will definitely be up for it next year.

Oh, and Escort Cosworths - lusted after them since they came out. Finally able to get insurance on my parents Monte edition now...

JulianHJ,

Did you take your car down to DREAM MACHINES to have a new front badge fitted and also take it down there at an earlier date for a service?

I have spoke to you before if it is you. I am the boy who works down there on saturdays!

I have seen your mum and dad's COSWORTH before and I like it !

If the bloke will stand up and say a Vectra is shite in front of the whole GM corp (even if it is true), he's hardly going to change his mind about a poxy cool/uncool board and a bunch a twenty something TVR lovers.

Everybody...please...chill out....
He's having you on...he's courting controversy...boosting viewing figures....perpetuating the myth he's a villain....and he's expecting the very response you're demonstrating here...
Wind back from Def Con 2, have a sherry and put your feet up, safe in the knowledge that JC is having a laugh at your expense!!

Is it true that JC is an actor and that he was the brain child of three motoring hacks that thought it would be a good idea to create a tv character that they could write for? Reason I say this is that I was told that a car manufacturer once tried to sue Clarkson over some editorial. He claimed that although it was written under his name infact he had never driven the car nor had he written the article. When you think of it do you seriously think that he could write the number of articles that appear under his name?
