Just doing the 2003 calendar for TVR events "up north" and was thinking back to 2002 when we mentioned PH5 at tankersley manor - hot pork van and all
Is it still on for March?

To be honest I'm not sure what to do - the TVRCC are having a party at Tankersley Manor so I'm not sure whether to delay a PH meet until a bit later, perhaps May. Any thoughts, anyone?

It was due in March originally wasn't it...

That seemed like a pretty good idea to me, there's not a lot goes on over winter so an earlyish event in the year would be a good way to dust the cars off and meet up again. Once May comes round we're not far off Le Mans and quite a few other events.

Just a thought...

sounds like a very good idea for an early meeting. I'm sure many of the South Yorks Region would make it.

Yeah, its two months after the TVRCC bash at Tankersley anyway.
There will have been time for the windows to be replaced, walls repainted and ceilings replastered etc.

Just in case you think Tankersley Manor is like Chatsworth it is not a "Manor" but merely the name of a hotel with a hotel sized car park. It is probably safe to assume that said car park will be full of guests' cars.Unless we consider booking all the rooms we may not be welcome. Maybe TVR79 could check at the Christmas meal how they feel about an unspecified number of cars meeting in their car park

Incidentally I am looking into a summer gathering in the Midlands. I'd like to try and get another regular event into the PH calendar. I'd like to get some serious numbers there, get some dealers/manufacturers along etc and have a bit of a do.

Won't say any more at this stage because it's very early days, but I think with the great array of cars that PHers drive, we could have a fabulous gathering/day out and rope in some other sites/entertainment etc to boot.

count us in and give us some early notice to fit it into what looks like being a busy year.

Cannot wait for the thunder of cars and tarmac!

Excellent, gemini - I have been thinking about contacting Graham Dobson, as RO of my area, but you're on to it already! One thought for a meet - your super article in Sprint, abouit your visit to HArrogate with Ferraris - how about we do a larger meet later in the year, and take up English Heritage's offer of meeting in Richmond Castle? What a fantastic place for a meeting!
