Rapid as you like then. Watch out german poop. Only problem is the pompous clk and boxster brigade won''t even try it because it hasn''t got a Bavarian badge. Never mind, will be a tad more exclusive and even more fun as the bavarian brigade sob into their hankies.

Funny thing is theres asolutley loads of BMW's and Porkers on the road, thats hardly exclusive now is it. Even the hot hatch brigade can afford BM's now, what does that say about them. I rest my case.

It may be quoted by pistonheads as having "an ar$e like a bursting suitcase" but who are we driving it for? The people behind it or the person driving it at 160mph and the back end is still sticking to the road. Porsche have their spoilers at the back and TVR have their splitters and downforce sections. Lets give it a decent crack of the wip - it drives better than any other TVR there has ever been.

You have to bear in mind that the rear end is very important looks wise as it is the view most other sports car drivers will see (although it will quickly get smaller)

I am very impressed with those figures, if they are accurate. Still can't get over the styling of the whole car though. It looks like a Max Power'ed Griff to me. I'd much rather stick with my Griff or Cerb thanks. Does anyone else think the ar$e of the Tuscan S id pig ugly too... it's that spoiler. Urgghhh.

Horses for courses, I guess. I'm bound to defend the car, as I've got one on order, but in the flesh, it looks fine! I've seen, and taken, lots of pictures which make the back end look terrible, but if you saw Top Gear last week, the back looks different, but not ugly... EVO gave performance figures of 4.4 to 60, and 0-100 in 9.5, but it depends on driver, conditions etc. Edited by nubbin on Thursday 13th September 12:06

hey wath is wrong with the back of the car? it just looks great! (just dont forget we are talking about a TVR not a citroen or something) and 3.7s for 60 mph! that is afwul fast and will make you the fastes one of your city!

Both ends of the Tamora look horrible. I predict a rapid restyling exercise will be carried out as soon as Mr Wheeler realises how many potential sales he is losing cos of the wierd out of proportion looks. In this class of car styling and the feel good to be seen in factor are major contibuters to the selection and buying process.

So Boxsters are common, but they've nicked so many sales from Trev because every morning their owners get in them and travel from a to b in a car with a hugely capable chassis, great usability and bullet proof reliability and, as I believe the saying goes, "they all do that, Sir." The punters are voting with their feet, unfortunately, but Mr Burns and head PR man Smithers can't seem to see it. "Let the customers do the testing, Smithers, it'll be like taking candy from a baby. Hmm, looks like a larf."

So Mr. Ahonen, we are speaking about sports cars, not about a Boxters !!! Actually Porsche is building cars for mainstream customers, not for the petrolheads, who love driving. Also have a look at the absolutely crap interior of a Boxter or a 996, not the right stuff for such expensive cars. And the final question, why do you share this TVR related forum, when you don't like the cars???

Don't know what all this nonsence is about. I had the Tamora ar$e end first as a screen saver for a good month or so because I thought it was so sexy. Mind you, I also had Niomi Campbells ar$e tightly wrapped in PVC as a screen saver so maybe I'm just odd! Edited by Harey on Friday 14th September 08:29

its just ugliest TVR EVER! no matter what the preformance or handling is like it ( and 9 out of 10 owners will never spot the difference bewteen it and the Cerbera/Tuscan etc) TVR will sell low numbers after the initial interest is over. IMHO of course...time will tell? but I hear oders are slow?

errr...Tasmin FHC? If TVR were going to restyle the rear, they would have done so already - after all, they've had plenty of time and feedback in which to change things. If you don't like the styling, you don't have to buy one. The front end isn't that dissimilar from a Griff, and the back end, whist a bit of a confection, at least contributes to some rather decent sounding handling. Griffs, Chimps are fine for straight line blasts, and gently, gently on the twisty bits, and in the wet, but I ordered a Tamora because I don't like losing traction at 3000revs in the wet, and bouncing round corners with the rear end skipping about if it's a bit bumpy. The older cars are beautifully styled, and will still look great as you go sideways/backwards into a hedge. I like the idea of driving the best handling (well, Elise apart!), fastest sports car that reasonable money can buy, and one that has useable, traction-friendly power delivery. That way I can have more fun, and drive a car with better safety margins. Go and see one in the flesh - it looks better than you think, and it sure is different, and that will make a lot of people take notice. Take an objective look at the Elise - it's ugly, small, difficult to get into, spartan in the extreme - so too the VX220, and the Boxster is push me-pullyou styling, the Z roadster plain ugly and out-dated. Obviously, there are a lot of people out there who feel TVR have reached the zenith of automotive styling already - how depressing to have a customer/fan base who are thinking like that! Perhaps Ferrari should have given up after releasing the Mondial and 80's Testarossa.... Edited by nubbin on Friday 14th September 09:58

Sports cars should be fast and beautiful to look at. The Tamora is reputedly fast but isn't beautiful. Purposful looking possibly, but not beautiful. I'd buy a Noble
