incident at vw meet on sunday

I am sure that I have been told in the past by an ex-copper that there is no actual legal requirement to indicate anywhere its more of a best practice. That is, in law, you should have been looking out for people around you. Ignorance is no defence and all that.
This woman was obviously at fault though, whilst the right hand lane is perfectly acceptable for traffic going straight on its not perfectly acceptable to turn right from the left hand lane without looking.

I had already passed this 4x4 and so did not witness the accident directly.
However, prior to the accident, I felt that she was driving erratically, unsure as to where she was going!
You were right behind me at the time, so she cannot claim that she did not see you!
I hope that she does not claim to have been "overwhelmed at the sight and sound of so many TVR's around her at the time!
Either way, she was driving without due care and attention to other road users and unfortunately steered her "numptie-waggon" into your Cerb! Her fault entirely!!!
I only hope that the insurance companies see it that way too and do not go for the "safe" knock for knock option!

thanks for all your replys .will have to wait and see what the insurance companys decide .but i think i have enough people in front and behind me who will be able to back up what happened . will let you know the outcome and if i need more statements i will get in touch

One other point I've just thought of - make sure there were less than 8 (I think that's the right number) Tiv's together - otherwise I believe it is deemed to be a "convoy" - see TVR mag over the last 12 months for more details. Could just allow her reason for come back if she had a clever lawyer!
