Am I paying top whack at 83p/l? or has anyone seen it for more? 'Spose that's what you get for driving a performance car in an ex-mining town. It may well be 'grim up North', but it's not too good in the Midlands! Marcus & Ocean Haze Griff 500
No, I've seen it for 85.9p/L in Cambridge City Centre. There's 3 other shell stations in the city area, they all range between 82.9p to 85.9p. Closest one to the centre on a very busy road is the 85.9p one, I guess you pay for convenience.

Optimax. Top Stuff. On my third tank. Pulls a lot cleaner at low revs/high throttle opening, and seems to pull smoother. One thing I did notice is that it pops and bangs less frequently on the overrun, but when it does bang - boom. LOL Oh, but this is in a Golf GTI Similar technology - old 8v lump with a dizzy cap Edited by roop on Wednesday 3rd October 19:16

If your hooked on Optimax why not use Shell's reward scheme. http://www.shell.com/pluspoints After ordering on-line the card will take approx two weeks. It's worth it, have a look.

I used to be a Green Peace supporter, but then Shell gave me a free Optimax keyring when I last filled up and I have seen the light.

so you've got to buy 1500 litres of petrol to get a £10 off voucher - sounds like a bargin to me!
