Gang on the Green
Huge TVR gathering in July
Following the success of last year's event, the "Gorge Rumble", there's to be a gathering this year on the Cathedral Green in Wells, Somerset. The Green is situated in the centre of the historic city of Wells, and will provide not only parking but also probably the most spectacular photo-opportunity of the year.
As well as having lots of TVRs parked on the green, with help of Peninsula and other local dealers there will be a good selection of the very latest TVRs and a display of racing TVRs, including a Tasmin, Tuscan and T440R.
There's some fantastic scenery and some great roads on the way to the event too of course.
An outside bar with BBQ / hog roast on the green will also be provided. Departure will be from 5pm onwards (again set by the Cathedral Office).
The organisers hope that many will make a weekend run out of it and will be helping to find secure parking, places to stay and visit and coordinating some evening beers too.
There is no charge for admission to the event or for parking on the green. However, you will need a pre booked ticket, a TVR and TVRCC membership in order to park on the green as the green is likely to be filled to capacity despite its large size. TVRCC day membership can be arranged. There will be plenty of additional parking for those who do not manage to secure a ticket.
For more information and ticket application see www.tvrcc-bristol.co.uk/events/GangOnTheGreen/index.htm for the latest details.
We've got about 130 TVRs indicating they want to come with at least one person coming from the following huge list of TVR regions: Beds, Berkshire, Bristol, Bucks, C3C, City London and NW Kent, Devon and Cornwall, Dorset, East Midlands, East Sussex, Essex, Greater Manchester, Hampshire, Herts, Middlesex, Mid-Essex, North East, North Yorks, Northants, Oxford, Somerset, South Wales, South Yorkshire, Staffordshire, Surrey, West Midlands, West Wales, Wiltshire.
The Saturday night is sahping up into a much bigger night than expected with so many people staying over.
I'm looking forward to sharing a few beers with you all soon
Plus you will still be able to join a rumble to and from the event which IMHO is one of the best bits
As you can see from the list of regions, there is almost certainly going to be a rumble organised from a location near where you live

Not sure if I could make it - but if I could, would I be welcome, or would everyone put cones up saying "eyuplad, you cant paaark that plane ofver err"
Don't want to show my Noble if it's not going to be appreciated .......

We placed that restriction on parking on the Green because we thought we would be oversubscribed (but not this quickly!).
There is plenty of non-Green parking close to the event and we don't mind who uses that. Having said that, this is definitely going to be a TVR-fest....
Where there are more than just a few people coming from a single region we are using a single person as point of contact, for example Berkshire is EdT of awesome sounding Griff fame.
So it ought to be possible to get regions together that would like to group up for the run to Somerset.
So i'll be travelling down after work on the Friday, hopfully the bar will still be open.
If there are any others making there way on Friday i'd be more than happy to convoy, we'll be making our way from Leigh on Sea, Essex cant get much further east without falling in the sea

Snap! I'm not able to attend many events, so I'm really looking forward to this.

Duncan, would it be safe to assume that if I got an email reply from you saying that my "request has been logged and tickets will be sent out by post a few weeks before the event" then I've got a space on the green, or am I just being hopelessly optomistic?!
tuscan_s said: Can I say that is a stunning car you have there Steve!
