RE: Gang on the Green
Discussion
Just to add
There are now 180ish requests in the list.
I have recently put the request in to the County Council to close the market place and the access road to the green so we can Park EVEN MORE TVRS in the centre of wells...
It has been said, but I will say it again. Anyone can come to the event in any car. The restriction is only on the allocated parking on the green etc, which is reserved for TVRCC members and there TVR's and is by ticket only...

I have got you in the list.
Obviously everyone attending the event wants to park on the green, but unfortunately this is not possible, we have been given limit and have to observe this.
If we are able to use the market place for parking those with there names down and we are in a position to ticket this parking, will be first in line.
For those who request tickets but don't get them. I would say Come along anyway. The focal point of the event is as we have said the green, but there is lots of other parking around, with lots to see/do. I think Dan and Nacnud would both agree with this.

The TVRCC c3c Region is meeting for it's rumble to the 'G on the G' at 'Birdlip viewpoint' at 09:30 on 20th July for a 10:00 leave
Any other Regions or Tivs that are heading south want to join in ?

We're sending some classics, you know, about five 440R's and ten Tuscan S's - (no only jokin' me julie)
it's not going to be only flash modern stuff or all Chim's!

Simon,
I'll be canvassing for support among the Wiltshire Region on Weds at our meet (we've got a few on the G on the G list already) - maybe we could join your throng (not allowed to say convoy!) on the A46 somewhere before Bath.
Paul.
Nacnud and I have palmed off (sorry given) Dan the responsibility of putting together a line up of cars through out the ages.
which at the moment looks something like this.
TVR2 - obviously we had loads of TVR2 owners offering but I think Richards is the best ;o) (Sorry for the quote dan)
Grantura
Vixen
Griffith 200/400
Tuscan
3500M
3000S
Tasmin FHC
S
Big Wedge
PreCat Griff
SEAC
Early Chimp
Griff LE
Late Chimp
There will also be a selection of the newer cars (ie the ones in production) in another area. Tamoras T350C and a T if they have been made, tuscans and Cerberas.
I think dan is still looking for a FHC Tasmin and some Tamoras!! anyone going to bring these for him?
has anyone got anything even more special Tina Trident Jomar (like to see dans face if anyone has) !!!!!!! But I think the bet is safe..

Paul sounds good lets do it. I reckon we will be crossing Junc 18 of the M4 on the A46 heading for Bath at about 10:40 (ish)
there used to be a good greasey spoon on the left hand side a few miles before bath - uuum! Maybe you had better e-mail me off Forum heh!

Guy and Girls; remember the game is to try and find an entertaining route to GOTG and there's plenty better than the main roads from Bath.
IMHO Best Approach to Wells from the East has got to be from Frome and then via unlisted Roman roads across the top of the Mendips (easy to follow on the ground, but impossible to describe on a map). To get to Frome, lets think, Salibury Plain from Stonehenge
Real trick when coming from the East has to be how to work the route through Cheddar Gorge - definitely worth it though

If you mean the one that always had the rotting TR7 (they all do that sir) and the fossilised moggy minor out front, I am afraid it does indeed no longer exist. I think it was torched for the insurance money (allegedly)

We were planning on sending the actual tickets out a few couple of weeks before, as there are still a few things, like the market place and access road closure we have not yet had the go ahead for. I will speak with Nacnud and Dan, and maybe we can send out a list of the people who will get tickets for the green, before we send the tickets.
Due to the small(ish) numbers on the green we want to try and avoid sending out tickets and not have them used.

It has to be said I don't think there is any such thing as a humble TVR . I know the organisers are keen to get a wide variety of cars on show, and from what I have seen of the attendee list this is well reflected, though it is true to say there are the numbers of early cars reflects their rarity.
I know pebbledash is working hard for the road closure order for the market square, if this happens it'll add a whole dimensionto the event.
