My old Chim 500 I believe it is still in the North East. I part exchanged it at HHC for a Tuscan Convertible which I sold in 2016 to a guy in Aycliffe who only had it 3 months and then I think was sold by Str8. Miss both these cars but still have the V8 S alongside the Morgan.

Interesting you retained the V8S. Why?

Hi,
I had the Chimaera first and loved the sound of the V8 and the torque that comes with it. I then part exchanged it for the Tuscan but although it was a fabulous car I missed the V8 sound. So I bought the V8 S and ran them both together. I then decided that I needed to scratch the itch for a Morgan so I kept the V8 S and parted with the Tuscan. The V8 has been SORN for the last 2 years as I have had no time to use it. Still start it occasionally and still sounds brilliant but have been using the Morgan for the last 2 years. Maybe its time to get the S out of hibernation.

I am restoring a Series one Vixen reg NPY 11F. Its been all sorts of colours from sherwood green to gold/yellow to blue. If anyone knows anything about it Id love to hear from them. I do have a list of some previous owners from before the DVLA stopped giving this out. I have tried to contact them all, but no luck. The car is 51 years old so I guess it will be hard to find some of them.

Hi
Your Chim I think was owned by Matt Smith (Durham) who sold it via HHC due to an impending baby. It was a nice car and Matt kept it looking like it does in your pic.
Your Tuscanwas sold by Str8.

Hi,

I met Matt as he contacted me after purchasing the car. I also knew it was for sale with HHC but don't know where it went after that.
The Tuscan was sold to someone in Aycliffe who I believe sold it on to Str 8 after a couple of months. I understand it was sold by Str 8 prior to being advertised. I lost track of it after that.

Thanks for the info. though.

That's my old V8's, loved the car and really miss her. But had an itch for a Griff that needed scratching and then a Saggy itch so the Griff had to go. I nearly looked at buying back about 4 years ago.

2002 TVR Tuscan S Mk1

Chameleon Blue with Portland interior

Had CCC exhausts at the time and the Racing Green boot lid opener mod.

Plate at the time I gave it back was OO02SMO but *ahem* I apparently didn't register it.. I can't remember the original one, I think it started with LG 02.

Purchased from Mole Valley TVR.

Unfortunately we have insurers and scrap yards owners which are competing to be the more stupid, the car sat outside, roof off (and maybe windows down) during months, including during a snowy winter. This is really sad, this very beautiful car was also just being homologated in France (which is not easy and not cheap).

V49DGF. Moonraker black Griffith 500. Last mot’d in 2012 and not particularly high mileage at 72000. I owned it for 3 years and put approx 36000 miles on the clock. Spent a fair bit on it keeping it up together. Sold in approx 2008

How many miles had you done on the rebuild when you sold it Tony.

I miss my old 390SE - recognisable as it had a SEAC boot spoiler bolted to the rear. I've never seen it since I sold it back in 2002/3 ?
Reg was - F200 HEO and it was a dark metallic grey.

First TVR was an S2, G580LWT bought from David Gerald. Saw it about 10 years ago at a Goodwood breakfast club meet.
PX in about 2003 for a Chim 450 from Fernhurst.
As to 'where is your old TVR now', it is certainly old and it is currently with Rob at V8D for a new engine. Been there since April 2021... Grrrr.
Don't want to talk about it.
