changes colour like the chamealeon coloured cars.
Danielle at the factory told me they are doing a new colour called laser blue which looks the dogs whatsits so I will have a look at that also.
I was at the factory yesterday (for a service and a minin tour) and Danielle showed me both the Laser blue and Chameleon GREEN cars.....gotta say I thought the green looked fantastic (it's like a brighter green version of my chameleon blue Tuscan). I wasn't sure about the laser blue (personal taste here). It was next to a GTS blue Tamora on the line and is certainly a lot brighter but to be honest it's very difficult to tell when viewing it inside the factory.
Nubbin and Andrew,
I did ask about your cars and Danielle said that it would probably take until xmas to finish the 20 or so demo cars so customer cars wouldn't be rolling off the line until the new year.
I've gotta say that having seen it in the flesh, in a number of colours, it's growing on me. The front really does look purposeful and the back, well whilst not pretty, does portray a sense of function with the defuser etc.
I meant to ask about options but forgot, I don't know whether (dare I say it) they'll be offering an 18" wheel version or indeed an 'S' upgrade although I'm sure they'll be getting pressure from customers soon.
Oh yeah, the other thing is I wasn't allowed into the development area as they have the Tuscan R under development in there (last time I was allowed in there - and saw the speed 12 in build). They did have the purple Tuscan R outside and that is clearly being used as a road car at the moment - looked awsome......

More info is that they have put an 18" wheel on the Tamora and it just rubbed like hell. So it looks like that's out. I have been told they will be trying a 17" instead so we will see.
I have been told that anyone with their order already in should expect it in Jan and those(like me)who have just ordered can expect it in March. I have to have it for Le Mans otherwise I'll end up in the back of my mates 996!!
As for colours I haven't got a clue yet but my Cerb was Imperial Blue pearl and that was lovely so I could see a nice blue or even yellow if I'm brave enough! I have it from a good source that Mr Wheeler has banned anyone from having a black one.... don't know why.

Jane, thanks very much for the information. I hope that my car will be ready fairly soon, and if what flasher says is true, my order is in, but only finalised last week, so I may be in for a bit of a wait. However, if the 20 demo cars are finished by Xmas, mine being no. 30 on the list, that sounds like a mid-late Feb completion. It's just sooo long to wait!!
OK... Thanks, Mike, for the info! When I was at the factory, they had a full carbon fibre body tub of a TuscanR outside the race prep. area - that's probably the one that's under wraps.
I wouldn't go for larger wheels either - the reason Tamoras handle and ride so well is (at least in part) due to the smaller wheels and higher profile tyres taking some of the harshness and over-sharp steering out, as compared to the Tuscan. Stick with the stock wheels, Mike, it sounds like they make a better car dynamically, if not visually!

Thanks for the info Mike......
Black was one of the colours I originally thought about but was told definitely 'no' when I mentioned it! TVR want the black detailing on the bonnet scoops, etc. to stand out!
I'm getting the 5th customer car and have been told Feb/Mar but if the dealer cars will be finished early Jan then hopefully so will mine?
I've gone for GTS Blue but might try to find out more about Laser Blue?
Cheers...... Andrew

Andrew,
As I said they had a Laser Blue demo next to a GTS demo on the line (I took a picture of each but unfortunately I'll have to get the film developed before I can compare them).
I would estimate that both cars would be ready for dispatch with 10 days (from now). Why don't you phone Danielle and ask which dealers the two cars are destined for - there's no substitute for see them in the flesh.
Mike.
Just returned from Blackpool and a couple hours with Danielle,( shame the Missus was with me!!!) Took some great pictures and have half decided on a colour that absolutely no-one has specced a Tamora in yet. I'm going to keep it secret and hope that mine is a one off!!
Anyway I have a nice collection of digital pictures of all the colours I could get including a hideous VW Beetle lime that some sad soul has ordered!!!
If anyone( or perhaps Ted, for the site ) wants the file please email me and I will send it to you.
