I don't know why punny is being so defensive of Driven, lets face it we live in a democratic society and drawing on the opinions I have read regarding the C4 programme it is utter crap. I watched it one and half times and was bambozzled by their ratings cars of vastly different values in a test, basic opinion is that if it is not german it must be crap by default. I guess with TG going down the drain rapidly Driven must get viewers by default and though I avoided the TVR test earlier on in the week my fellow pistonheads had lots to say. Dribble always fails to point out the good points of a TVR, they whoops forget to mention they are hand built, no robots, they are individual like their chairman and the market is home based. Unlike porkers and beamers they are aimed at the masses globally so you end up with a car that has a larger audience to cater for with all the bells and whistles plus with sales the economy of scale to pay for these gadgets. They are good cars but miles apart from the TVR, Tiv owners are in the majority enthusiatic about the mark, porkers and beamers is apart from a few like minded people a statement, Pistonheads is testimony to this fact.

Drivel to give you an understanding of the variance and a tip on how to make good TV car programmes let me quote you a J Clarkson line when testing a beamer and TVR, " The girl sitting next to the BMW driver is wearing an Alice band while (pause) well the girl next to the TVR driver, well she not wearing any knickers !!!!"
Come back JC we miss you.

Flasher, Gasblaster,

Why do you boys have such silly names? I suppose one of you has never really left the playground and the other eats too many curries.

Anyway - of course its really me, theres only one Puny Mammory (please note the spelling aovcerb - not Punny but Puny. I even saw one person spelling it Penny !)

As for the points you raised Flasher, I can drive better than Ayrton Senna as I am still alive (checks pulse to be sure).

As for the wanabe in the denim shirt - well he recognised the TVR blindfolded, he may have even preferred it in a test - so he was history.

I didn't need a seatbelt as we actually film these sequences on the back of a flat bed truck with a prefilmed back projection to make it look real. Didn't notice that huh...

Next - Drivel IS the BEST already.

VBH, fit for what though. I tought her all she knows. She used to phone me up for advice every week before her show - and she's still got my Eye Spy book of Cars.

Sorry about the long reply, but I had to type slowly as aovcerb can't read very quickly. And don't think I will bite on the no knickers comment either.

Love Puny xxx

Yeah maybe, but I wouldn't climb over her to get to you!

I thought the jellytest was based on your floppy ***s.....

no point in reasoning, I am going for all out war now!!!

I do agree though, you didn't need a belt round your waist, you needed one round your gob!!!

Dear Puny, My heartfelt apologise for spelling your name wrong, I did not realise you were such a sensitive soul picking up on trivia such as typo's. I guess I should be more careful when dealing with professional TV personality who are undoubtedly perfectionist, I will bear it in mind when I finally come across a professional TV personality, hopefully VBH.

PS The comment about Senna was rather distasteful

Flasher,

You may want a war sweetie - but I refuse to have a battle of wits with an unarmed opponent.

Bye

Didn't any of your mothers tell you not to be rude to girls?

Besides I would have thought any self respecting sports car owner would model themselves on Terry Thomas rather than Kevin the teenager (I certainly do).

Quite right old bean. Any self respecting chap would have got Puny's phone number by now and be on his way round for a quick run up the A1.

Chocks away chaps...

Actually, there was a guy I saw in a TVR once that looked like a retired Wing Co.
He drove it at about 20mph..........
