Is every thread on here going to degenerate into Porsche vs TVR? Can we have a bit of live and let live please...?

Yes. Lets have a bit of seasonal peace and love. I love Tivs&Porkers. I'd have one of each if I could, time to get back to the thread...

I agree, as I am the offending party re: the w**ker comment - I'll let you Porkers have the last laugh. Due to the clutch going on the Chimeara I'll be driving down to Wiltshire over the Chirstmas period in a......Ford Ka. So if any of you drivers of girly panzerkrautwagons pass me don't be too cruel, I'll be suffering enough.

yeah - chill pills all around.

for me - personally i have loved TVRs since 1992 when i saw my first griffith.... i can remember that time in my life very well and old programmes make me think of TVRs. I used to drive past a TVR garage every day on the way to Oxford Poly (now Oxford Brooks University)...it was both heaven and hell.

I just want to listen to the music of their engines and ogle the sweet curves all day long. Sorry to sound all sensitive and the like but i reckno they are a work of art - even if they didnt move i would still have to own one....but as they do move (very fast) i would like one even more - not to go fast in; just to burble around and maybe blast around once in a while!

No argument mate. We aren't discussing modded C4 porkers, the choices are boxster or TVR. Simple story: Friend 'a' (a bit smug) buys a Boxster and tries to impress me and friend 'b' (bike racing looney) with its performance. Yawn. Friend 'b' buys an Evo 6 and does impress me and friend 'a' who then chops his Porker for an Evo. (This is the good bit) Whilst searching 4 my Cerbera i borrowed a 500Griff and took them both 4 a spin.....Friend 'a' chopped the Evo for a...(you guessed it).Friend 'b' said he wasn't that impressed cos his Fireblade was a bit quicker !?!, sold his Evo and is looking for a Griff.
Summary: Boxster=Boring flash
Evo=Most awesome shopping car ever built.
Griff=Mach 3,warp speed, hugh grin.......Buy one; you'll only feel crap every time one passes you in your Boxster if you don't.
Thus ends the sermon.
