Did you get the discount as I am in the same boat and was going to suggest a group buy.

The discount was ok'd by Fred in an email a couple of weeks ago, since placing order over phone i sent a confirmation email asking for final price inc. pistonheads discount. Width needs cut by 200mm so i thought it best to ask for final price but still waiting...... how did the rest of you guys get confirmation of orders, was it just a phonecall to say when it would be delivered and invoice with cheque on delivery..?

Fred doesn't confirm the order, he rings the week before delivery, they need orders for 12 to make the trip to the UK. He will charge more for a altering the size. Suprisingly he prefers an English Cheque rather than Credit/Debit card or Cash (so he avoids bank charges).

So I need to get 12 then? But if he's coming over for others who have yet to receive them presume he's got other UK orders to tie them in with. I'm in no major rush so I think I'll call.
Wonder if he'd prefer a euro cheque!

Just spoke to Fred as i have had to reduce the height of the posts down to 2M as well, the discount is still there if you ask for it, he adds on £50 for any modifications but has then reduced it with discount down to £1600.

They just came with the lift, I'd told Fred I had a TVR, so he did them of his own accord...told you he's a nice bloke...just ask him for them.... biggrin

I think it would be difficult making the runways shorter...don't forget the extra room you need for the locking stops lever + 1 metre approx.

Will let you know how tight it is in a single garage. Mine is coming 12ish friday...spin, fitting new roller door friday A.M. and maybe get lift in same day or over the weekend. If you give Fred a ring he will let you know by how much he can go down on the dimensions straight away. Easy bloke to deal with.

I might get mine back on the same wagon as yours...It came good Friday(or not so
good Friday)......... and was on its way back the same day . I had asked for the width reduced by 200mm, it came full width. Fred was ok - said lack of communication at their end. Probably very busy with all the other orders generated through here. Short lived excitement but a few more weeks wait it will have to be. The day wasn't wasted... got the roller doors on ready.
