What?... with a free Track v Road thrown in? hehe
I have that ramp and a second on order for the other side of my garage. Can't fault it so far and at that price excellent value.

Its used mainly for storage in my case, two car garage has become a 4 car garage.
Hark! What be that which thunders hither, yon man?

Why, 'tis the rolling thunder of divorce-led inevitability!

Just watched the video of the ramp

the castor idea is very good.

Have you noticed how he only used the drip trays when the range Rover was on the rampbiggrin

I think it is fabulous but most car on ramp operations need the wheels off. as a storage stacking system it is great but to me it still needs a proper jacking beam at which point you only work at waist height anyhow

The resto ramps offer all the advantages of this less the parking at half the price.

plus Lisa won't let me have ramps and a Colchester lathe in the same yearhehe

I think this thread has convinced us to go for one of those as well. Been thinking about doing this for a while so pleased I stumbled across this thread ! Just need to measure up the garage as it might mean we'll need to replace the garage doors with a roller-type rather than our current up and over type.

and then decide what cars to get to slot underneath hehe

What on earth have I started??? This firm are going to wonder what's going on come the 7th Jan when the phone starts to ring.
P.S. I reckon I can keep the up and over garage doors since the bonnet should clear. My problem will be removing the rear part of my Artexed ceiling and a joist or two for the car roof. Which builders Artex a garage ceiling with swirls ?????? Other than mine biggrin

hehe We're ok on height, got quite a lot of space up above. Can't believe you've got artexed ceiling in your garage though biggrin

We're just concerned about the two posts that'll be nearest the front of the garage and whether we'll actually be able to open the doors.

Thank you for this thread hehe

It does have a jacking beam.
You just have to fit a jack to it.
I think thats how it workthumbup
I would prefer to see a raised lip on the inner edge of the platforms to allow a sliding beam that can be positioned under the car by sliding back and forth. the last thing you want is to be pissing about with a beam and seperate jack underneath the car.

They are brillliant.

3t limit, I've had our RR Sport on top when I had to clean the alloys (saves bending over) wink

There is a jacking beam you can move to any point and sits between the two runways, jack comes with it.

3 Drip trays and a massive cover with fixing points as you can see in my pic, that stops the car on the bottom getting a wet roof.

Yep. hopefully will be down to catch up.

depending on weather my mate Norm may bring his griff along.

If that lift has a rail for a slideable jacking beam then at £1600 its a result.

I think I'll have to measure my garage also.

Have to work out if I'll need to change the up and over door.

Looks very tempting tho.

I got a second hand 2 post lift from RPGE, fitted and working for £1k. It's amazing how much easier servicing is now, great for waxoiling, cleaning wheels, removing flies etc. They do all kinds of garage equipment including 1 post lifts, if your short of space that's the one to go for.

I've got a two post lift in my shed. Brought it off ebay for £300. It's great.

Just search for '4 post lift'. They go for around £500 normally. Only problem is that most are 3 phrase 415 volt, so they 240v ones's go for little more.
