Mr Big has a RC Tuscan. It is an IC remote controlled car - was originally a Ford Focus rally car but he bought the Tuscan body from a local model shop.

The Tuscan shell is made by HPI, but I think it's 1/10th scale:

There is a distributor list on their site.

if you get any 1/12th scale car, you can get just about any body for it. my friend had a porche 911, and got a lotus elise shell for it, (blimey this takes me back) mine was 1/10th scale, which were becoming rarer at that time, i had a 3 series shell. but i still kicked ass, since i fitted a decent stock motor

Do you know much about the petrol cars if so can you fit the Tuscan shell on top. And is the petrol powered better than the battey power in speed and handling

I've got an HPI Tuscan body for my nitro car (HPI RS4 3 Type SS), and they are generally quicker than battery powered cars.

I have a HPI RS4 4 with a Aftermarket HPI Chameleon green Tuscan shell and it looks Lairy. I would say Nitro is more fun than Electric and you get a nice noise with Nitro powered cars. Performance, Nitro is much quicker and Handling is about the same.

i have a petrol and an electric....

the petrol (a 1/10th scale hpi super nitro) will do about 35mph (checked with gps!!). it's handling is great and sounds completely different to an electric car.

the electric (a 1/10th scale team associated tc3 team) is a competition spec car that i've upgraded and runs a number of different motors. with a quick motor it goes about as fast as the stock petrol, but its handling is nowhere near as good. of course this is all down to setup, tyres and torque.

which is better? neither - the petrol takes a fair amount of maintenance, and costs more to run (total cost is double that of a good electric), whilst the electric can be upgraded much more and is cheaper to run.

however, the electric does have a tuscan bodyshell. mmmmmmm.

as far as i know, you can only buy 2 types of tvr tuscan speed 6 bodyshell, made by hpi and proline.

I brought it from E-bay with a Racing Exhuast and Anadised gears etc It was 1 Month old and I paid £250, Already run in, but I had to get my own Radio gear which is about £50. The Tuscan shell is about £30 but make sure you get a HPI one if you get one cause you can get a Cheap Tuscan shell for £15 and it is really bad quality cause you can cut it with scissors.

The HPI shells are sold unpainted, so are transparent. I've painted my one in a metallic black model paint (Faskolor Faspearl Black) to match my real one!

Looks like Faspearl Blue is quite a good match for your Dad's car!
