Just beeen to order some SO2's but theve been discontinued in favour of SO3's. I can still get some of the old ones but was wondering if anyone had experience of the difference between the two or opinions as to which was preferable while both are available.

Similar Thread ran at the beiginning of March.
"Don't Fear SO3's"
I have changed all 4 tyres from SO2's to SO3's on my 1998 Chimaera 4.0L and found a distinct improvement in grip and handling.
Paid £368.00 all inclusive for the new tyres.
I would highly recommend the SO3.

Firstly where did you get SO3s at that price. I need a new set for my Tuscan soon and people have said the TOYOs are good. They are also a lot cheaper at £90 a corner.

Does anyone have any experience of the new TOYO tyres.

6 months or so ago I fitted SO3 to the rear. Nearly at the tread wear indicators, so it seems to be doing its stuff. Seem to spin it less as well. (yoko A022? previous). Must get lighter shoes.

fish ...

I bought the SO3's from BRITANNIA TYRES in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
They have branches at Nuneaton, Coventry, Hinckley and Bristol.
I paid:
£79.99 for each front - 205/55ZR15
£106.99 for each rear - 225/50ZR16
£13.96 for valves and balancing

I then asked whether they could give me any discount seeing as I had bought 4 tyres and they reduced the Bill by 4.5%.
Their service was excellent, doing each corner individually and treating each wheel with extreme care.
