For those of us who can't make it to Castle Combe...who's going to Brands over the Easter weekend, specifically the Saturday? We're hoping to make it on the Monday but won't know if that's possible until later this week.
Any news at all on parking arrangements for the Tivs (Saturday too)? Will there be an area set aside as in the past?
Alex.

I'm going.

If you're coming up from the south, the E Sussex TVRCC group is meeting at the Little Chef, Maresfield (A22/A26 I think, but Maresfield isn't that big!) -- no time posted yet but I'll aim to get there for 9am.

We're going on the Monday.

Any Basingstoke PH'ers going?

I'll be there on Monday with a group of friends. Looking forward to it.

I've not been spectating at Brands before. Can you roam around the track perimeter and watch from anywhere. Where's the best spots to watch the action from?

Yes you can walk the whole perimeter (but cut infield after druids)

"standard" best spots to watch - Paddock and druids, but nothing compares to full-pelt leaping cars at Dingle-Dell ('that' picture of Shorty with all 4 wheels off the ground)

In the stand at Paddock Hill bend. Just before you get to the paddock area, almost opposite the Pits exit. You can see 95% of the track. [Whoops, forgot its the full Grand Prix circuit. 60% then].

Also agree with Druids.

Andy - yup, pretty much wander anywhere (within reason). Last year we watched the GTs from the inside of the circuit near Graham Hill bend, which gives a good view of the descent from Paddock Hill all the way up to Druids. Very loud there too. At Druids you can walk across to the Grand Prix loop where they accelerate up towards Hawthorn. Alternatively, some people seem to like Clearways - see Pikeynet for pics from there last year. Paddock access isn't normally a problem in my experience, don't know if it'll be different with the BTCC there this time?

I'll be going on the Monday, too. I've got the Cerbera back now but will probably take the citroen as we're going to be three-up (no volunteer for the back seat, unfortunately)

Still, could always take two cars...

Don't know which car we're taking yet. It'd be fun to do a Convoy - although we're going to go early, early in a futile attempt park infield somewhere decent and get a Grandstand Ticket (love the thing where you can see nearly all the circuit - OK not GP).

Looking forward to this tomorrow. Anyone want to arrange a meet-up for a few pistonhead'ers around lunchtime?

OK, we'd be up for that, where would you suggest? Are you going to be at Clackett Lane first thing?

Alex.

I don't know. I'm meeting a few mates at Mole Valley TVR at 8am. I know a couple of the MV boys are going to be there too.

I will mention the Clackett Lane meet and see if they will stop by on the way round, but I know they're eager to get there early, because the first GT race is around 10 o'clock...

Anyone know any good landmarks at Brands we could meet at during the day?
