Some interesting TVR articles in this weeks AUTOCAR for you people.
Page 19 a spy shot of a Tuscan R which apparently will come with either a 390bhp 4.0 litre or a 440bhp 4.2 litre six and be linked upto a six-speed SEQUENTIAL gearbox.
Page 41 Steve Cropley's column has a piece about the Tamora which he thinks is marvelous. Performance times quoted are 0-100 in 9secs and a top speed of 180mph flat out. Which means that only a 4.5 Cerbera is faster! Flasher, Nubbin can you confirm?

Page 58 Tiff in a Tamora in Wales for one of his favourite roads, which is also presumably where they did the road test which will be in next weeks, April 3, Mag.

Can't confirm the figures, yet, but I feel a track day coming on. Anyone got any Correvit timing gear?

Funny, I was talking to Ben Samuelson last week and he said to expect some 'spy' shots of the Tuscan R to appear soon...

Is it the purple Tuscan R featured on TVR's website?
Are they running several prototypes?

It certaintly used to be there....

Yep, the specs have been published for some time. The sequential gearbox is probably the same one that they're trying to get into the Tuscan race cars but wasn't ready for the start of the season.

I suspect we'll see a more finished product at the motor show in October. It's evolved a bit since the original shown in 2000.

Sad they haven't kept exactly the same headlight layout...

The most interesting bit for me, was that Autocar featured the "210mph British-built supercar" the McLaren Merc SLR. They go on to talk about the Carrera GT, Murcielago, F60, etc, whilst dropping into the Tuscan R article, it's possible top speed of 215mph, and 0-60 in "less than 4 secs". It is at roughly the same development stage as the other cars - wouldn't it be nice to fly the flag with a TRUE Brit?
