414bhp is for the 4.3 I believe. Again 475bhp is what has been flung around here etc.

More power in a drivable package is what I'm after and toying with electric power steering (which I hear you may as well do with engine out) I suppose I'm looking for an excuse to tinker. speaking with Dom is always great as he is the one in the real know. Massive figures are great but I want it to translate well onto the Tarmac.

My 4.5 is 414bhp and 368lb/ft of torque and Dom said its the best figures for a 4.5 he has made

'Flung around' is about the right phrase for that kind of figure. Flung around the pub after a few beers more like.

Have you got links to the threads round "here" mentioning 475bhp. Would definitely like to read them.

in reality it has just 366bhp and feels a lot slower biggrin
there is no right or wrong with either 3.6 4.0 4.3 4.5
every engine is different from it´s character and feel.
drive some different versions and you will notice.

if discussion is just about bhp would think about switching cars to
something with boost......... your wallet will thank you wink

I understand that another engine builder will be offering a 4.7 for 2016. Is this offering one and the same? Owning to the change in circumstances with the TVR dealer network, I would have thought not!

I can imagine a 4.7 would attract a very hefty price tag...for not much more gains..

See page 1 of thread it talks about 455bhp the toilet talk is here somewhere. I gotta stop reading and posting on here you guys just destroy my decision making one min I'm 4.3 for sure, then 4.5 now i don't know! But as the new breed are going 4.5V8 I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go 4.5SS alsong as Dom reassures me the nice linear torque curve is manageable and doesn't keep me in a spin every time I try to pull away.

Again owners of 4.3/5s please post. If you've had both even better.

I'd be more than happy with Gacksens 4.3 engine if figures correct.

I have the 4.3, took advantage of the deal just after Xmas. Still running it in really, it's had its post run in service, but haven't had chance to drive it so much since. But when I do, it is great!

I plan to book a remap and dyno session with Dom at some point, when it's got some more miles in, as I have since had the ACT big bore full exhaust system, and have a pair of Clive F's decats arriving this week - so hopefully, the Tam will be as good as it can be for power for when I book it for the dyno session.

One thing you don't hear/read about so much is the peace of mind the rebuild gives you when driving it, plus there's the warranty. I would say that if your car is a definite keeper, it may be worth having, for both the extra power and longevity.

of course they are but one thing is for sure aiming for the 5xx in horses
will set you back some serious cash and i would be concerned in regards of
reliability as the engine would have to work hard in the above 7500 rpm region.
mine did still go but we stopped for engine sake biggrin

Has Dom changed his rules on warranty ? He told me any exhaust other than Performance supplied ones would invalidate my warranty.
