OK it's stupid question time again - i'm going to end up with a reputation for these soon !! TVR Mania Duxford can anyone tell me when, and how to get in?.....

A VERY stupid question if you're a TVRCC member! But if you're not, you'll need to join to get into Mania, I believe.

Am a TVRCC memeber (only 3 months though!!) but haven't looked at the site for a while and hadn't seen anything in Sprint. Oh well to reread last months copy to see if there's a mention.......

If you're after the date I think it's around August 10 according to the Duxford website.

As far as I understand Mania events its a 'turn up and pay' on the door job. That was how it worked at Stamford Hall a couple of year ago anyway. The Isle of Man Mania was a little different understandably.

Some Mania events have been 'turn up on the day' jobs but I know that organisers of all TVRCC events like to have an idea of how many are going beforehand, especially at Duxford where if you've not pre-booked, you're unlikely to get food at the BBQ.

As I'm one of the people helping to organise it I can fill you all in. It isn't "pay on the day" because of the food/ BBQ and runway space. There will be a form in next months Sprint I think. Should be about 15 quid per person and include BBQ, cheap vintage flights, goes in Tanks, and most importantly the blast up the runway. I managed 155 mph up the runway last year so it will be interesting to compare the Tamora.

As the organiser of Duxford 'Mania' here is the correct information. The event is on Saturday the 10th of August. As announced in Marches copy of 'Sprint'. It's not turn up and pay on the day, you have to pre-book. A entry form will be in April's copy of 'Sprint' and in each month up to and including Augusts one. Book early as if we get to many entries we may have to limited the numbers?
