Has anyone experienced the Christopher Neil TVR Service department? I'm looking to book my Tuscan in the coming month at Christopher Neil or the TVR Factory service dept. (which I've had good experience, but Christopher Neil is much closer to home).

Any feedback will be appreciated.

Cheers
Larry

I bought my Chimp from Christopher Neil and took it back to get a misfire fixed recently. They seemed OK, but I suspect there are people out there with more experience of their service than me.

Good luck.

CN did my Chimaera last time and I was happy with the service they provided, they even checked and adjusted the tracking FOC.

Bought my 4.0l Chim from them and have found them very good. All warranty work carried out with no hassle and car is always valeted. Expensive servicing but then they are main dealers.

Had my Chimaera serviced last week by CN, they did a good job and kept me informed of any additions before doing them. They even spotted and fixed a broken windscreen washer pipe, which I thinks shows that they did check every part fo the car.

Before I booked it in to CN I rang the TVR factory and although their servicing charge was slightly less they couldn't fit me in for at least 4 weeks, so if considering this option book well in advance. (I would be interested to hear what you think of factory service if you go).

Evert service my Tuscan has undergone has been at the factory. My expectations have always been exceeded. Based on the majority of postings I am in the minority when it comes TVR. I love the cars and the have the utmost respect for those who design, build and maintain them (ie. the factory). There are so many negative post in the Gassign Station that I rarely bother reading through all the various threads anymore. I respect my car and it treats me well. I followed the running religiously and have no complaints. There have been problems but nothing I haven't had on any other car I've had from new. My apologies for the rant!

I recommend the TVR Factory for servicing. As Christopher Neil is slightly closer I was thinking of booking an apt to compare. Then again I may just stick with the factory...

Don't be ridiculous, the forum wouldn't be so buzzing if people weren't so passionate about their cars. What do you expect: "I drove my car 300 miles today without incident?" It wouldn't be very interesting would it...?

I don't want to name and shame anyone, but I take my car back to the factory despite having lived in Cheshire. I am less suspicious of the factory and more trusting of them when it comes to sorting out any niggles. They also have a good stock of parts at the factory, so never any excuses from them. So, if you live within a 1 hr of Blackpool, why not let the Great Creators themselves do the work - you won't regret it.
