The little things you like about your TVR

And another thing....
Was fortunate enough to be following my Chimaera today as the wife drove it to work and I was in the tin top. Those cars are simply stunning to behold from behind! Good God they got it right!
I loved the way the vapours swirled out both pipes like a dragon breathing until she has warmed up!

think everything thats been said i have to totally agree with, the starting up is great, even getting in using the mirrors, telling everyone who gets in how to get out.
The comment about how its a car that was never finished is true, but i would be bored without bits to do on the cerbera.
I've only had mine about 3 months and its the best car i've ever had. I've got a few things to sort out and then it will be sorted.
Started giving it a little throttle on the exit of corners and its great. Best thing I've ever brought and wouldn't be here if it wasn't for my now ex fiancée so thank you Laura for giving me my freedom back and my enjoyment of cars again.

I loved the way I always crossed my fingers before starting the Chim. It always started first time and the smile would spread across my face. I loved the deep rumble and the roar when the loud peddle was depressed.
I think I love everything about the Tuscan. The screaming insanity when accelerating is completely different to the Chim, but just as addictive. The pops and bangs on the over-run are just mad. I love the way everything is built around the driver, so much so that I turned on the hazard lights when test driving it without trying to.
With both cars, the funny looks you get at petrol stations when you open the boot to deposit some liquid gold.
I think setting off car alarms whilst driving past is top of the list though.

I pick up my less exciting 2+2 classic motor tomorrow night............
Heading to Hannover from England a few weeks ago and was filling up at a service station inside Germany.
A very pretty young student heading back to Berlin asked if I could give her a lift as far as Hannover.
How could I refuse.
As we rejoined the Autobahn and took off with that incredible scream of the Speed6 the words "Oh my god" could be heard from my new passenger. She never stopped smiling for 200 miles.
I like the way my Tuscan can make people smile.

I was trying to rejoin the A14 from a service station in Chimaera once but it was realy bussy.
I spotted a gap and just floored it. Nano seconds later I was dabbing my brakes to match the car ahead.
I looked at the guy in the outside lane and he was SOOOOOO happy.
Window down, trying to give me two thumbs up, clapping and steering all at the same time.
Briliant. The effect they have on our fellow motorists is priceless.

This thread is absolutely fantastic and exactly the reason I NEED to come over to TVR! Oh well, only another 6 months to push, then I can post without being an imposter.
Keep em going folks this is great!
Pfft! Many of the old school southerners here will remember how long it took me to get into the fold ... the "sperm for toys" program raised many smiles (probably smiling at me rather than with me... )Keep em going folks this is great!

- chuckle* Hell dM - I used to have a 3.5 SD1 lump sat in the garage on blocks years ago just so I could start it up and hear it running so I'd just about have taken anything I could get my hands on ... as it is, she's a little tatty but I have to say that David Batty's done me proud on mine over the last week ... she's back to her old self!
