This may be a stupid question... but when people talk about fabsil-ing the roof to prevent leaks, do they just mean the folding back section, or does the material on the hard panel act like a capillary and draw water in around the edges? Cheers

Exactly do the lot. Oh and I find the brush on stuff easier to use than the spray which goes everywhere

I've just bought a Chimaera and, while it doesn't leak yet, I guess it'll start sooner or later! What is Fabsil, where can I get hold of it and will I find the price offensive?! Thanks for your help.

It should be less than £10 for a tin which will do about 3 or 4 applications, aswell as waterproofing the roof, when it rains water beads up on it, like a polished car, you can get it from camping specialists and army surplus stores.

I bought a can for a fiver. Do the whole lot or you can guarantee that it will weather differently and you'll end up with a two tone roof.
