Thanks Bristol!
Discussion
I'd just like to thank everyone from Bristol TVRCC, especially Duncan and Sarah, for arranging todays "Rumble through the Gorge"!
The whole day was a blast - I feel sorry for everybody who couldn't make it - almost 40 cars in convoy for 50 miles, the "pack instinct" was strong and my wife and I loved every minute! I'm so glad the sun stayed out!
I'm sorry we had to shoot off without saying goodbye - time was getting on and it was a long drive home, but we got home surprisingly quickly considering how long it took us to get out of the car park at Wookie (but that's another story!)
Here's a pic to make everyone who was there proud, and everyone who couldn't make it jealous:
Duncan - I'll be in touch!
See you soon, Shamus and Karen

Ditto above. Sorting my pics for Duncan. 33 odd Tivs firing up on que for a shake the gorge, wow!!! I hit 5000 revs 3 times but temp made me back off.
One guy coming the other way in a 4by4 was blowing kisses at us Italian style.
After the cave visit a small convoy headed back fer Wales and whilst passing through a small town, V8's etc reverberating.... Parents trying to console scared young un.

Please let me know when there are some pics and hopefully video online. I would love to have heard some of the comments from the drivers and pedestrians who witnessed this event
Many thanks to the organisers Duncan and Sarah who did a great job.

I'm sure Nacnud will be posting soon, but I'd like to say thanks to all those who turned up from South Wales and Dorset and other places further afield. A top day.
As others have mentioned... was the gorge start-up cool or what!!!
Nacnud... Top man well done
Cheers Dan

Shamus, excellent piccy.
Cheers for the comments. Wasn't it a great day ! The gloomy weather forecast couldn't have been more wrong.
I've got say that it wouldn't have been half as good without the help freely given by so many people. Examples include Dan and Simon looking after the rear of the convoy, the person who safely pulled the convoy over after I had to dive off and find petrol, the TVR which blocked the Gorge allowing an uninterrupted flow of TVR's up the gorge. Clare and Tony for spending most of the day looking through a viewfinder. I'd especially like to thank the Queen Vic for coping so well with the sudden arrival of over 50 people, although the initial queue at the bar was horrendous the food magically arrived and nobody had to rush their food before we left.
First website update will be later tonight and will use any pictures / words I get emailed today.
I've already got promises of couple of CD's with more photos and we are working out how to get a Clive's video of the mass startup onto a computer.
I didn't manage to take any photos myself, so if anybody can send me anything I will be most greatful. We especially need more video; if you have video, please email me and let's see if we can work something out.

Just uploaded a really good account of the day by JMorgan. Jeff, I think you should check what's in the cup next to your keyboard because I don't think it's tea or coffee
Also uploaded a 360 degree VR taken in the Gorge (also by Jeff)!
Read all about it at http://go.to/tvrbristol
P.S. Dan and Clive both tell me their video footage came out really well (including the mass-start). Watch this space....

Sorry I couldn't make it - failed at the last hurdle when the manifold had to come off due to an air leak causing my emmissions to be about twice the legal MoT limit. But, all sorted now so will be picking her up on Saturday - Bristol look out!. Good to "hear" you had a good day!
Now, I cant remember seeing a wedge on the front of the new format Sprint yet so how about a pair of SEACs?????????
