Is it too early for me and my brain to be thinking or are those tyres on backwards, shirley the leading edge should be in the middle to force the water outwards?

Peter Wheeler himself said don't worry about the 1000 miler service and the factory did get my car back together in time. However I wasn't happy doing 2,500miles on a new head in Norway etc and Tony kindly agreed and offered the courtesy car.

great trip and the boot held tents sleeping bags chairs 40l of fuel cloths for -10 to +20 food for three days and it all just fitted in. Interestingly I couldn't get it all in the boot of a 309!

Car performed fine except for the speedo broke... that was a good excuse when I got stopped by a policeman for speeding....

Looks good! I'd recommend changing the sidelights too! I bought loads but the cheaper led ones off eBay are too tall but Osram 6000k LED sidelights in a 233 fitting did the trick:

New vs Old

And now both fitted:

I fitted main, dipped, tail and brake lights but, for some reason, not sides - Doh

Definitely worth doing though, I can see where I'm going at night now.

Thanks for the info, something to follow up.
